## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where is the .5 camera lens?

*2026-04-04*

The most annoying thing is I take a lot of photos with a .5 lens on an iPhone, but this app does not have the .5 camera lens option. I won’t switch my one star rating until this option is available!

### 1/5 — App crashes instantly on startup

*2025-09-30, version 2.6.0*

Does not work with iOS 26

### 3/5 — Exposure doesn’t work

*2025-07-23, version 2.6.0*

There appears to be a slider bar with a +- but you can’t actually slide it!

### 4/5 — Great for lining up product shots

*2024-11-25*

I like to generate AI images with a placeholder object of my product which in a second step I will replace with an actual photo of my product. This app is the most robust of the ones I was able to find. What I’d like is more basic camera controls, in particular exposure. My images tend to be over exposed if I shoot on a black background and underexposed if I shoot on a white background

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! I’m thrilled to hear that Apollo is helping you with your creative workflow and that you find it robust for your needs.

Your suggestion about adding more basic camera controls, especially exposure adjustments, is incredibly valuable. I completely understand how tricky it can be to balance exposure when working with contrasting backgrounds like black or white. I'll prioritize exploring this feature for a future update to make the app even more versatile and user-friendly for scenarios like yours.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps me improve Apollo to better serve creative minds like yours!

### 4/5 — how do you save photos?

*2024-04-04*

good app but how do you save the photos you take??

**Developer response:** Hello! Photos are saved automatically to the gallery. If your photos are not saved, please email me: support@risefall.org

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-11-18, version 2.6.0*

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

### 5/5 — Almost perfect!

*2025-01-19*

The app is a great simple tool for laying a photo over your camera so that you can line up what is in front of you with a picture you have taken before.

My only complaint is that this app does not have a 0.5 feature (you cannot take 0.5 photos), so good luck finding a way to match up 0.5 photos…

Like I said, it is otherwise a great tool and is the most consistent app I have found for solving the problem of overlaying a photo on top of your camera.

### 5/5 — No Bloat - Straightforward App

*2024-12-17, version 2.6.0*

Due to the lack of reviews I was expecting to be overwhelmed by pop ups and subscription requests upon opening this app.

I’m pleased and sad to report this app is unique in today’s age. Not long ago people would still enjoy this app but it wouldn’t stand out like it does now. It actually performs what it says it will, is easy to understand, and runs smoothly with a good user experience. These three things seem to be near impossible for developers to accomplish these days.

Based on the steady update history I’m sure it’s coming, but one thing I’d love added would be access to the 0.5 lens on the new iPhones. Unless I’m missing something I can’t use it in this app and it’s very helpful for before and afters in tight spaces.

Overall, still 5 stars based on my other points. 0.5 lens would be fantastic, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the works right now. Everything else has exceeded my expectations so I will happily continue to use it.

Thanks!

-Will

### 5/5 — Victor

*2024-08-28*

Add opportunity to make videos, please

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your suggestion! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your ideas. Adding video functionality is an interesting idea, but at this stage, it's not something I plan to implement. My focus right now is on refining and improving the core features of Apollo to ensure the best possible experience for its primary use case.

That said, I’m always open to hearing more about how you use the app and what features you’d like to see in the future. Thank you again for your feedback and for using Apollo!

### 5/5 — How do you change lenses?

*2024-06-28*

?

**Developer response:** Hello! The lenses change when you change the zoom. If you need a lens with better quality, then go to the settings and select the maximum quality

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really hard to find an app for a simple feature.

*2024-06-23*

I just visited this old ghost town in bush Alaska. I used this app to get then and now shots from more than a century ago. Great app, just wish it was a default camera option.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the app 🤗

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2024-03-14, version 1.7.0*

Finally an app that doesn’t ask me 30$ a month for a basic fonction. The App Store need more developers like this! Thank you so SO much!
