## What is Apothy?

Apothy runs a persistent world that remembers what you did in it.

She narrates. The world keeps the record. When something is uncertain, the outcome is decided by a roll on the server, written into an append-only history, and the story continues from what actually happened. Not from what would have made a better sentence.

That is the difference. Most AI roleplay forgets, contradicts itself, and quietly rewrites the past to suit the moment. Here your choices become history: what you found stays found, what you spent stays spent, an injury still costs you next time, and a character who turned on you remembers why.

PRIVACY:
Your conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. They are never sold and never used to train any AI model.

Apothy's memory of you is stored on our secure servers rather than only on your phone. That is what lets her remember you across your devices, and everything she remembers is yours to read, edit, or delete at any time in Settings. Analytics and advertising services used by the app never receive the contents of your conversations.

### 1.1.32 — 2026-09-03

Apothy now remembers short conversations. A quick check-in used to leave nothing behind. Now she can pick one up the way she picks up a longer session.

Conversations that were missing from your history have been restored.

Fixed: if your session expired, the app could look signed in while nothing loaded. It now takes you back to sign in.

### 1.1.31 — 2026-08-31

Apothy can now reach out about something you told her, rather than waiting for you to come back. She only ever writes about a real follow-up she already noted, and notifications stay off until you allow them.

You can now let her see your mood check-ins, so she can refer to how your week actually went in your own words. This is off by default and lives in Settings, under Privacy. Turning it off deletes what was shared. Your own history stays on your device either way.

Also includes the clearer navigation and the fixes from the previous update.

### 1.1.29 — 2026-08-29

Fixes layout problems at larger text sizes and on smaller screens, where buttons and text could be cut off. Fixes a bug where a previous Spark could briefly reappear when reopening the screen. This version requires iOS 15.

We've made Apothy more transparent and more reliable:

- A new memory space where you can see what Apothy remembers about you, and ask it to forget anything you choose.
- Recaps of your recent voice conversations, so you can pick up right where you left off.
- Live voice calls now start more reliably.
