Opened the old game and the tower motor was toast. Found the app and it still works without major issue! Pleasantly surprised. iPhone 16 Pro on iOS 18.7.1

This app is great and is  the closest thing you’ll get to playing the actual game without owning the actual board game.  It really needs to be updated.  It has issues now.  The fights tend to be won way too often and you win too much gold compared to the actual game.  Also, the game crashes now, a LOT.  I can’t even complete a game now.  And a popup window keeps popping up saying “Network Not Connected”, getting in the way of everything.  That popup actually caused a glitch that made it forget how many men I had and it locked me into a fight where I wasn’t allowed to retreat.  I loved this app before it got all buggy.  I wish it could be updated and repaired. I FAR prefer the look and feel of this app compared to the other Dark Tower apps out there.

I spent a lot of time and money to get a complete Dark Tower classic board game.  Loved playing this growing up and this app adds such a fun new level to it.  It keeps the classic look and the classic play intact while adding just enough new characters and new elements that it doesn’t distract from the classic experience.  Well done!!

I found Dark Tower in my father’s attic and having this app to substitute for the tower on the board (broken for years at this point) was a godsend. I have had so much fun playing, there have been no issues with it, the developers should really pay themselves on the back.

A number of times I was thinking of the classic Dark Tower game I had when I was younger. The new version released on Kickstarter appears too complicated and time consuming. I searched the App Store and found exactly what I craved and can play by myself in 15-20 minutes or longer if I choose. Thank you for re-creating this classic game ahead of its time!

I’ve had this app seven years now.  I still play.  It’s still fun!

I don’t know how many games have come and gone for me.  I play a little while, I get bored, I remove the game.

If you want to be technical, I’ve been playing since the 80’s board game version.  The game play is very much like the original.  It even has the authentic noises including the sounds of the tower mechanism.

I have had two originals stolen.  This has been an awesome replacement for a much loved game.

Changed the background color of the level and player pickers on iPhone so it's easier to see.

- More display tweaks.
- After dismissing the help on how to interact with the merchant, the warriors icon was not showing. It is now.
- After dismissing the help on how to purchase warriors or food, the Yes/Buy button was not showing. It is now.
- After dismissing the help on how to enter the tower, the first key was not shown. It is now.
- You can now see the score at the end of the game.

- In previous versions, the chance of events happening when moving was purely a guess based on my memories of the game. Recently, I got ahold of a working tower and ran some tests. Now, the chance of events happening are closer to the original tower (though my guesses were pretty close!).
- The popovers are formatted much better now.
- When cursed, the "lost combat" sound effect now plays.
- Various other minor fixes.
