Not too impressed with their work. Poor professional rotational staff with lack of integrity and respect among the MyEar customers. He says it performs so nearly accurate it rivals the other speech to text software. He said even the punctuation is mostly accurate. It ran perfectly upon installation. He adjusted the size of text and that was it. I am running iOS 14.2 on this iPad Pro. He is ordering a Bluetooth remote mic to try and see if he can sit further from my iPad and it still can translate to text. Thumbs up on an EXCELLENT app! ### 2/5 — Does not work through zoom *2020-09-18, version 3.1.3* I’m deaf and I bought this because I heard good stories about it. I tried to put near my computer as I had a zoom seminar for my class. It did not type well full sentences. I understand that speech to text are not perfect. But I’m expecting at least 80% correctly. This did not even type full sentences. Only one or two words per sentence or every 5 seconds, this means I missed a lot. This means that is not even 50%, maybe 8% take took words from the speech through zoom. I asked my mom to see if there was any video sound issues that probably did not catch speech to text. But no, sound was excellent, I tried different angle to see if the app would grab better words. But none. I only hear it works person to person, which it was ok. But with the COVID-19 going on, everything is through zoom and other video meetings. I really need a captions or transcribe through zoom video and live. If it managed to pick anything up the transcription was inaccurate. My 92 year old mom has been hard of hearing for 30 plus years. The last 2-3 really bad(she doesn’t like the deaf word though) Her lip reading skills are not like they use to be. We have tried the hearing helper app, but it is no where as efficient as your is. We have tried writing tablets, use a lot of hand gestures, but as you know so frustrating. The reason I found your app tonight, was my Mom was quite pitiful as she came into the kitchen area where me and my sister were talking..and said...”I am so tired of not being able to be in a conversation with anybody, the two of you just don’t understand what it is like not to be able to hear and have conversations”. It was then I realized, have I just been complacent with what we had that I wasn’t searching for help anymore. So, I decided to search again....entered talk to text device for the deaf...and up your app came(okay maybe the the 4 th or 5 th thing on page). Anyway, I read the first review and downloaded it, tried it with mom and omg it picked up my every word and yes I could even change the font size and I can point the screen to hear as I am talking.
