### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-05*

I tried using it on my iPad to turn a video up while I was streaming in a Discord call but I could not turn the video up or the call down

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and sorry it didn't work for your setup. What you tried is unfortunately impossible on iPadOS for any app, not just ours: iOS has a single shared media volume, and there is no API to mix two apps that are playing sound at the same time (like a video and a Discord call). App Volume works by setting that one system volume to your preset the moment you open an app — it helps when switching between apps, but it can't separate audio playing simultaneously, and call audio uses its own volume channel entirely.

For your case, Discord itself can do the mixing: in the call, tap the participant or stream and lower its volume slider, then raise the system volume for your video. That's the only real per-source control iPadOS allows.

### 5/5 — Very Clever

Having different volume profiles is nice, no complaints.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the kind words and the 5 stars! Glad App Volume's per-app profiles are working well for you. If there's ever a feature you'd like to see, just reach out via Settings → Send Feedback — always happy to hear ideas. 🙌
