## What is AppHearing?

AppHearing is a sound amplifier app with customizable assistive hearing capabilities(AEC,AGC,DRC,ANS,EQ, etc). It  amplify and clarify speech, ambient sounds from microphone, and playback through headphones or bluetooth speakers.

With AppHearing everyone - even those with mild to moderate hearing loss - can enjoy a completely personalized listening and hearing experience. Important ambient sounds, peoples’ voices,  are amplified, enhanced and adapted to suit individual hearing preferences and capabilities.

The algorithms used by AppHearing include AEC(Acoustic Echo Cancellation), AGC(Automatic Gain Control), ANS(Automatic Noise Suppression), DRC(Dynamic Range Compression), EQ(Equalizer), etc.

### 5/5 — I have a issue.  Need help please.

I love this app.  It helps me to hear my conversations like they used to sound before I lost majority of my hearing in a tragic explosion accident.  I had a a lot of recordings and used to be able to listen to them just fine.  Now if open the recordings tab.  My app crashes. Please help me keep my files.  Thanks

It works as advertised and it is free. It is a good quality app. 

The developer’s email address is not working now, but in the past the developer was responsive to feedback.

It’s a nice app, but can’t get it to play thro my camera apps. Which is the reason I originally wanted the app in the first place. I’m still searching for a good app that will amplify the sound of my camera apps, if anyone knows of any that might help I’d be most grateful. Thanks

I bought the entire old version and I was enjoying the application and suddenly the version was canceled and I was asked for a monthly subscription and also the new version no longer accepts Bluetooth only the wired headset

There is a significant time delay between the sound and it coming through the earphones (not Bluetooth).
But worse, the sound volume comes and goes whatever settings you select.  Is this some kind of automatic gain control that doesn’t work with speech ?
It seems unusable.

**Developer response:** New version optimizes latency. Welcome to use it. Latency will also slightly better with voice enhancement disabled.

Huge latency issue!  What you hear is delayed about 30 milliseconds and makes a very distracting echo with the original sounds. If you’re watching tv with someone else, it’s just not worth the aggravation. This one’s worth the purchase price but not much more.

This app is solid gold! I have a 90-110dB hearing loss through eardrum. I have found that by using this app in coordination with some other hardware I can function with ability to interact with others around me without constantly missing verbal or environmental sounds. You got my vote for app of the year!!
