## What is AppHush?

AppHush helps you build healthier screen habits and reduce everyday digital distractions.
Block selected apps when you need time to focus, set recurring usage limits, create scheduled app-blocking lists, and manage distracting websites in one simple place.
With AppHush, you can:
• Block apps immediately for a chosen amount of time
• Set recurring usage limits that automatically block apps after the limit is reached
• Create custom app-blocking lists for studying, working, sleeping, workouts, and more
• Schedule lists by time and weekday
• Add more than one time window to a schedule
• Block websites manually
• View Screen Time usage insights on iPhone
• Check blocked apps, remaining block time, and usage-limit rules on Apple Watch
• Protect AppHush with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode
• Use Emergency Unlock when you need to clear active protections

AppHush uses Apple Screen Time technologies to apply restrictions to the apps and websites you select.
Take back control of your time, one intentional choice at a time.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-10-07

Welcome to App Hush 2 — less distraction, more room for you.
We’ve redesigned App Hush to make protecting your focus simpler. Your new Home screen brings active focus sessions, today’s Screen Time, and your protection overview together in one place.
Move easily between Home, Focus, Usage Limits, Schedules, and Websites with the new tab bar.
Make each focus session your own. With Allow Early Unlock, choose whether you can cancel a block early or wait until the timer ends. Emergency Unlock remains available when you need it.
Build routines with scheduled app blocks, set usage allowances, and keep distracting websites out of reach. Choose websites from Screen Time or enter an address manually, including sites you haven’t visited before.
See your available protection capacity, check upcoming schedules, and enjoy refreshed layouts in light and dark mode.
We’ve also improved responsiveness, fixed repeated schedule notifications, improved schedule-saving reliability, and strengthened custom block-screen handling.
Your time. Your focus. Your rules.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-02

This update fixes an issue where app names appeared as “Selected app” in local notifications and on Apple Watch. It restores automatic names where available, improves name synchronization, and adds an optional custom name for apps whose names Apple does not provide. Existing blocks, usage limits, and schedules are preserved.
