But the way it interacts with people via their Apple account or email or whatever sucks. People do not want to use their iCloud emails for stuff. I want to be able to text people and do a push notification from the app if they have it. The send message feature to individual guests is broken/ can’t do anything. It doesn’t keep track of guests you’ve invited unless they access the invite. If you have approve guests on, there’s a 2 step process to get them accessing the invite. ### 3/5 — Who uses email? *2026-08-28, version 1.11.0* Look Apple. The app is amazing. However, I have 0 idea who has not responded because I don’t know people’s emails. I have to cancel a party because I’m sick, and it is difficult when the people who haven’t responded are labeled with emails. I don’t want them showing up when the party is no longer happening! ### 2/5 — Forces invitees to enter email or login *2026-08-26, version 1.11.0* Users are not able to view the invite without entering an email or logging in. This discourages people from opening the invite at all, rendering this whole app useless. ### 3/5 — UI and Capability are all great, but why so much friction? *2026-08-25, version 1.11.0* I love the idea, and the application works well. But why if I use this to invite someone they also need the application? If it’s an apple-native application, I would expect that clicking the link I sent them via text will immediately take them to the application. Like if someone sends me a calendar invite, it will go straight to Calendar. It should be the same for this app. I shouldn’t require all my invitees to go to the App Store and download an app. It seems to make the app non-trustworthy. Other Apple user friends even question the validity or legitimacy of the app simply because clicking the link doesn’t surface an apple native experience, but rather prompts them to log into their iCloud or download an app, they didn’t even know Apple created. Invitees suspect a privacy breach as soon as they tap the link. Either make this a trusted application that comes pre-downloaded on Apple devices, or remove it altogether. ### 2/5 — . *2026-08-25, version 1.11.0* It would be nice if people could receive it without entering an email address. Doesn’t let you select how many “additional guests” per group example if you select 5 “additional guests” everyone gets 5 additional guests. If you restrict access guests you invited have to request to view your invitation. ### 2/5 — Too Simplistic and Clunky *2026-08-05, version 1.10.0* I like the overall idea but find the app too simplistic. I would like to be able to be more creative when designing the invited but wasn’t able. Android users had problems responding to the invite which created issues with knowing who was coming. When viewing the invite I created on my iPhone, I couldn’t see the photos I uploaded but could see them when viewing the invitation on my iPad. My main issue with the app is I could not see all the individuals I invited to determine who has not responded. It did show me a couple of individuals under “No Reply” but there was an additional 17 that also had not replied that were not shown. I would not use it again or recommend this app. Sorry Apple, you should have done better! ### 2/5 — Meh *2026-08-04* I liked it at first but then I discovered that if you are younger than 16 you can not send an invite but only receive ### 3/5 — Guest list is not hidden *2026-07-27, version 1.10.0* Despite what I read about guess being sent individual text messages, the Invites app sent the invitation as a group text message and exposed all of the guest names and phone numbers. It also exposed who is coming to my event even though Show Who’s Invited is turned off. i’m using the latest OS and latest version of the app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Problem *2026-08-25, version 1.11.0* Won’t let children under 13 create event events ### 1/5 — What the heck Apple *2026-08-23, version 1.11.0* I tried it to see what it was like so I made a fake trip to Paris from December 1 in the year 1 to January 20 to in the year 2 but I couldn’t invite anyone unless I upgrade to iCloud+ which is so stupid for a simple invitation app. At this point just make the Camera app a subscription and ruin everything like you did with my experience with this app. ### 1/5 — Needlessly complicated *2026-08-22, version 1.11.0* This app has a horrible experience for invitees, requiring them to sign in, authenticate, etc just to read my kid’s birthday party invite. It doesn’t seem to log into their iCloud account, but I think that’s what it’s asking. Took lots of time to add the guests send everybody out an individual invite. Lots of people had issues opening the invitation. Prob cause they don’t have an iPhone? So I would try to update their RSVP manually and the app continuously wouldn’t work properly, wouldn’t open up to correct page after pressing “change reply”to update the response. And when it did open, then it just wouldn’t save the updated response. Had to keep closing it down & reopening to try to get it to work. “Send a note” doesn’t get sent out as an update / group notification. I liked that you can add a few wigits, like a group music playlist. But the shared photo album never worked. So frustrating in the end. I do not recommend. Its keeps saying refresh before edit.
