The app will look for available drivers at the actual time of pickup not when you do the booking! ### 2/5 — Awful *2025-11-05, version 38.1.0* Booked a taxi 3 times now the night before and every single time it does not come. This is really bad service as I have booked over 12 hrs before and I have connecting journeys which have been missed because of your awful service. Clearly a technical issue. Didn’t speak, unhelpful when I wanted to book a return and a VERY bad driver! Most the driver are horrible, I had one have a go at me for no reason, they drive past you and tell you they couldn’t find you! When you click the my location it shows a different location, which you then get blamed for by the disgusting drivers. But what can you do it’s only apple taxi here. ### 1/5 — Crashes. This message appears no matter what day, time or location I enter. Will never use them again ### 4/5 — Only used once *2024-03-07, version 34.5.11* It’s not as slick as Uber or bolt, but for a local firm it pretty good, with very similar features. Looking for a cab one early morning, Uber offered me a cab but then retracted and next available was 20mins. Got booked quickly through this app taxi arrived in 10mins. ### 1/5 — Extremely unreliable and unresponsive *2024-03-01, version 34.5.11* It is already very difficult to find an available taxi at the best of times. I pre-booked a taxi to take me to the station to catch a flight later in the day leaving plenty of time. The taxi did not show and all calls went to an automated response. Thankfully Artur arrived to resume my faith. I have been unable to use the app at all to pre-book taxis! Can’t progress beyond this, so the app is unusable. ### 1/5 — Marketing messages without consent *2025-05-13, version 35.1.10* I have not subscribed to receiving pop-up marketing messages but keep getting sales/marketing notifications. I have reported this by phone as well as by email. There is no way to turn this off (can only turn off all notifications but wouldn’t get messages about taxis arriving). I don’t believe this is lawful or allowed. Not sure where to report this but will escalate soon. ### 1/5 — App not great *2025-05-13, version 35.1.10* App keeps popping up notifications, yet there is never anything to see when it’s opened. ### 1/5 — Spam-laden and not fit for purpose *2025-05-13, version 35.1.10* Despite unticking the marketing notifications weeks ago in the app, I’m still being spammed. The app is rarely useful even when used. Can’t tip so I have to make sure I have loose change. Can’t get a useable receipt attributed to Apple Taxis so I still have to ask for a written receipt. The drivers are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the local area. One of the drivers even spoke in detail about how Apple Taxi is exploring AI implementation and the real-world challenges they face from a customer perspective. It was an interesting and insightful conversation that showed how forward-thinking the company is while still keeping customer experience at the centre.
