It’s blocker for me to apply your company’s product ### 2/5 — Report Bugs *2025-02-19, version 1.0.118* I like HLB. Their app and online banking website are the most user-friendly among other banks. This review is for the app. I believe the app is still in the process of improvement, so I am using this platform to report bugs. After I click “Confirm” to submit my information (for opening a sole proprietor bank account), it doesn’t show any “Success” message. When I click it again, it displays an error message. According to the FAQ, I should receive an email confirming that my application is in progress once it has been submitted. However, I did not receive any message. Does this mean that my submission was not successful? ### 2/5 — Bug: The OTP phone is limit to +600….. *2025-01-28, version 1.0.118* I’ve registered with my phone number in foreign country as I always travel and received OTP successfully overseas. Yet here the OTP started with by default : +600… That means any foreign countries codes added after the +600.. number become invalid. Yes, I can never receive my OTP so I couldn’t register at all! What happened to me is I applied an account for my daughter with Hong leong apply app. Few days after the application was sent, I received an email from Hong leong instructing me to deposit rm20 to activate. Deposited as told. However, they then told me my daughter account is deactivated and need her to activate at branch. I now can’t close the account nor get back my money unless I sent my daughter to Hong leong branch. What a hustle and bustles. ### 1/5 — Terrible apps! *2024-09-14, version 1.0.115* I have tried to open my business account using hlb apps! But got error to confirm all of my details. And keep sending me email asking to do action in their apps! While i open the apps, i need to start from scratch to fill in all of the data again and again! I have tried more than 5 times in different days btw! Teruk lah your apps! ### 2/5 — IC VERIFICATION *2024-07-23, version 1.0.112* All good with the app, just that people will be annoyed when it comes to the verification part. There’s trick that you should know, make sure to scan the IC at open daylight area and if it’s at night, make sure it’s not to close to the light and if it’s close,do make sure there’s no glare/reflection. Then you can easily scan and verify and your account will be created within 24hours. ### 1/5 — Keep getting error *2024-06-14, version 1.0.111* I can’t even get to the opening account part. Getting error saying that service is not available. Want to open to enjoy the promo. So, I do try this online method. I saw majority of low review here are about the scan IC part. Well, at first, if you not know the trick, yes, it will be very difficult. I do use only iPhone 7. The reason the scan not detect is because it really sensitive to lamp light. So, you need to do it outside your house with natural sunlight. Then, I put my IC on my left hand and scan it using my right hand (just like the picture in the apps thumbnail). It works perfectly. For the tilt part, do the same method ; use left hand, scan with right hand. For now, I do give 5 star for the method and my application is still under review. Hopefully, it will go as smooth as butter. Edited 1: Still need to go to branches to activate online banking. I mean, can’t you just also make this easier for us to register online banking via online? ### 1/5 — Useless online apply zero stars if i can *2023-09-15, version 1.0.102* I’m sure if everyone have time to go to the bank we wouldn’t need to have an online application app going on. Its for CONVENIENCE. But obviously hong leong is not giving convenience. Applied for an account on 26/08 and waited. The call centre asked me to go open at the branch so I can get it instantly. Alright I went to the branch but unable to open the account because it’s under review. WASTED MY TIME THERE when the call centre ask me to do this. Waited three weeks to get an email from them today BUT have to go to the nearest branch to get a temporary ID to activate the account. Then what is the point of having an online application app if I still need to go to the bank? Just wasting everybody’s time just to deal with this. If I have time to go to the bank I would have gotten the account on that day instead of waiting for three weeks. ### 1/5 — Its just ewallet account. Anyone who love your precious time please dont waste your time with this stupid app. Please provide guidance what brand light, how many lights must turn on, how many cm of distance between camera lens and IC, how many degrees so that able to capture IC verification successfully. On serious note I truly wonder how many applications successfully approved by this app on monthly basis??? I spend almost 2 hours without give up. When I realised opening account it self poorly managed, how worst could be once onboard. Need to take at an angle as well, which I feel stupid. Even after calling, I was promised a callback that never came. If the app cannot process applications properly, what’s the point of having it? Why the hell collect my deposit only to make me go to branch to get this temporary ID?? I would have gone there if I could in the first place!! Why such inconvenience? After doing so, I got a confirmation that they will email me within three working days. Until now (it’s been two weeks) I haven’t received any email or calls from the bank. When I call HL customer service, they asked me to go to any nearby branch to settle the issue. When I went to the nearest branch, to my surprise they told me that they weren’t able to do anything about it and asked me to wait, for how long am I supposed to wait??? ### 1/5 — Rubbish app *2025-02-23, version 1.0.118* Try scan with clear but keep say pic not clear. When snap with far abit said need scan the id in the frame but when near the id to the frame auto becomes blur.
