**Developer response:** Yes. You need an account to keep track of ai token usage. A paid premium subscription is not required. You can close the paywall. You get some free ai tokens at start and can use most features. Some views and ai models are locked. As tokens cost me money and I need to pay rent paying for a subscription is much appreciated and will help me improve the service further.

I am definitely impressed with the responsiveness and helpfulness of the solo developer regarding the issues I ran into.

There are a few UI glitches that get fixed on refresh but I think that’s likely macOS Tahoe more than the app.

I look forward to seeing the app develop further.

I downloaded and launched the app and was prevented from exploring the app without signing up for a subscription. I decided to test it out so I signed up and paid, then I was asked to sign in so I did. Then I attempted to generate a test UI and I was prompted to pay for a higher package which it didn’t even register I had already paid for. Then it wouldn’t let me exit the screen without paying so I had to quit the app. Now I’ve paid for an app that I cannot apparently use.

I’ve built the same app from scratch now 7 times today, and every time, at various points through the process, the app would crash, and the file becomes corrupted and I can no longer open it, and I have to start from scratch.
Very powerful and intuitive, but insanely frustrating and ultimately useless if I keep loosing my work!

Dear [App Support Team],

I am writing to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with your app's billing process. I signed up for a trial of your app on my phone, but unfortunately, my phone screen broke shortly thereafter. Before I could cancel the trial, I had to reset my phone, which also caused my Apple Card to become inactive temporarily. Rather than waiting until I could resolve the issue with my card, the app bypassed the payment option I originally provided and charged my wife’s debit card, which was linked to a family plan account.

To make matters worse, my wife is pregnant, and we are in the process of settling into our first apartment. As a result, her debit card was already near its limit, and the charge for the app, along with an additional $35 overdraft fee, put unnecessary financial stress on us during an already difficult time.

I believe it is entirely unreasonable that your app was able to bypass my payment method and charge my wife’s card without my explicit permission, especially considering I did not authorize this method of payment, nor did I provide any of her financial information to your service. Furthermore, I was unable to cancel the trial or make adjustments due to my broken screen, which prevented me from accessing the app in time.

Given these circumstances, I respectfully request a full refund for the charges applied to my wife’s debit card. Additionally, I would appreciate clarification on why the app was able to access payment methods outside of my own, especially if no prior consent for this was given. It is crucial that your company review these policies to prevent this type of issue from occurring with other users.

I look forward to your prompt resolution of this matter and hope you will take this feedback seriously in order to improve your service and customer experience.

It’s a great app but I wish you could add your own images and stickers 
I also wish you could also make the text bigger and sometimes we can’t see when we’re coloring the bottom tabs and when you try to make something bigger or the width it won’t work overall I would it’s great and I see the idea but you can’t add image
