About
AppRoster is a field guide to your App Store reviews — iPhone and Mac apps, across every country, every storefront. Track them all from your iPhone. No accounts. No servers. No tracking SDKs. Just Apple's public data, fetched on-device.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Your app reads differently in Berlin than it does in Bangkok. A 4.8 in the US can hide a 3.1 in Korea. The whole world is your market, but most review tools show you just one country at a time — and most ask for your App Store Connect credentials before they'll even start.
AppRoster does the opposite. You give it an App Store ID; it goes and asks every storefront how that app is doing.
EVERY STOREFRONT, ONE SCREEN
• Every App Store storefront probed in parallel
• Population-weighted global average — a quiet rating in one market no longer hides behind a louder one elsewhere
• Per-country comparison table, sorted by star average
• Switch between any storefront with one tap — the whole roster re-sorts
• Most recent text reviews pulled per country (up to ~50 per market, Apple's RSS limit)
• Histograms built from the recent review window
• Today's biggest mover highlighted on the roster home
iPHONE AND MAC
• Track iPhone and Mac App Store apps from your iPhone — both live in one roster
• Mac apps are tagged with a MAC badge. Apple doesn't publish an aggregate rating for Mac apps, so their ratings are derived from the recent review sample — labeled honestly, never dressed up as a store average
RELEASE IMPACT & TRENDS
• Release Impact — see at a glance whether your latest version moved the ratings, per country or globally
• Rating-trend charts over time, with a marker for each version release (Pro)
• Catch a regression the day a release lands, instead of finding out from a 1-star pile-up weeks later
YOUR DEVICE, YOUR DATA
• No account. No login. No email field.
• No AppRoster server — there isn't one. There's nothing for us to leak.
• No third-party analytics SDKs. No ad networks.
• No App Store Connect credentials required. Ever.
• Everything stored in a local SwiftData store. Delete the app and every byte goes with it.
INDIE-BUILT
Built by one developer, for indie developers. Not a startup, not a VC bet — just a tool that respects the phone it runs on.
FREE TIER, PRO BOUGHT ONCE
Track one app, every country, every feature. Free forever. Need more? AppRoster Pro is a single one-time purchase:
• Pro — $8.99, once. Unlimited app tracking, rating-trend charts and Release Impact. No subscription, nothing renews, yours forever.
(If you subscribed to Pro before v1.1.2: thank you — your subscription keeps working for as long as you keep it, nothing changes.)
A FEW HONEST NOTES
AppRoster surfaces public data from Apple's iTunes Search API and customer-review RSS feeds. A few things worth knowing up front:
• Apple's RSS feed contains text reviews only — silent star-tappers don't appear, so each country's histogram is a sample of the most recent ~50 written reviews, not the entire user base.
• Apple delays new reviews into RSS by roughly 24 hours — hitting refresh won't show a review that posted minutes ago.
• Mac App Store apps don't expose an aggregate rating through Apple's public API — AppRoster estimates Mac ratings from the most recent text reviews, so treat them as a directional signal, not an exact store average.
• Apps must be live on the public App Store (TestFlight builds aren't visible to iTunes Search).

• Pro is now a one-time purchase — $8.99, yours forever. No subscription. Existing subscribers keep Pro; nothing changes for you. • Adding an app is now instant — rating data streams in right on the roster • Fixed apps failing to add with "App not found" once you tracked many apps (Apple rate-limiting was misreported; it now retries and says so honestly) • Much smoother roster scrolling, especially while discovery is running • Lighter, smarter refreshes — Update All no longer sweeps every storefront Questions? zhiii0x@gmail.com
