The app and signage is not overly clear, but I think we have managed to navigate the charges and what to do! The key point I think is that unlike many other apps where you pay up front, this one needs you to end the session and pay at the end. On Good Friday, the app explicitly marked a bay as "Free" in Wandsworth. Relying on this, I parked and received an £80 fine. Customer support admitted their data team made an error but refused to offer any compensation or goodwill gesture, claiming they are "just a guide." If you use this app, prepare to double-check everything yourself anyway, defeats the entire purpose of the service. ### 1/5 — Awful search *2026-05-10, version 6.0.2* This is a complete tutorial on how not to build a search function. I paid for one-day subscription to view parking restrictions on a road and parked based on incorrect information. Unfortunately, the road that was listed that I thought I could park on ended up in me receiving an £80 fine. AppyParking does remove liability from themselves by saying only use this app as a guide etc etc. And they did refuse my request for a 99p refund. I no longer intend on generating any revenue for yourselves considering the response I’ve received after being a user of your app for years. **Developer response:** Hello Turkinese, we am very sorry for this experience. The team reviews all data issues including this location, we are sorry this has slipped through the net. As the subscription payment is taken through the App Store, AppyParking+ cannot make any refunds, you would have to contact the App Store. Once again, we are very sorry for the situation. ### 1/5 — Worst Parking App Ever – £1 Stolen for Nothing *2026-02-27, version 5.2.8* This app is completely useless. I wasted £1 just to find that out the hard way. On the map there were crown symbols shown on streets and pavements. I had no idea what they meant. When I tapped one, it told me I had to pay to see the information. I paid because I thought these were paid parking spots. Turns out they’re just hidden no-parking / no-stopping signs dressed up with fancy crown icons. That single piece of information cost me £1. And even after paying — the app still couldn’t find me a single parking space to book. Absolute disgrace. Pure scam. Straight-up rip-off. There should be at least 1–2 days free trial for people to see what a joke this is before they take your money.
