Tried turning it off for a bit but still won’t track. It’s getting better, but there are some things that I’d like to see: 1. Reflect Stage 1 & Stage 2 cooling in the app for better visibility as to what is going on. 2. Allow for custom labels in scheduling, and more than four. “Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep” is narrow and annoying. 3. Add predictability. If we’re in a heat wave, recognize cooling is going to have to start sooner. Currently, the only options available are off, Auto, 3 hours, or 12 hours, which feels quite limiting and doesn't suit all situations. For example, in areas where homes are still under construction, it's important to prevent dust and fine drywall particles from being drawn into the house. We need the option to disable fresh air intake during certain periods but not manually, So it needs to be included as part of the scheduling feature, allowing us to control when it runs based on our needs. Overall, the app is functional, but it does need improvements. Peace of mind knowing everything is working correctly is well worth the money spent!! Thank you AprilAire!!! ### 5/5 — Crawl Space Control *2026-04-06, version 2.24.54* This WiFi AprilAre digital thermostat is installed in the crawl Space to run my AprilAire E070 dehumidifier. Now I’m not using this digital thermostat to its full capacity of what it can really do, but it works perfectly to monitor the humidity, and adjust remotely as needed. If there could be one improvement that I would like to see for my application, it would be a delay before the humidifier would turn off. Basically, allow the dehumidifier to run 3% below the digital set point before turning off the dehumidifier. This would eliminate frequent on off cycles. Basically, control the dehumidifier the same way the internal dehumidifier thermostat works . Hopefully, AprilAire engineers read these reviews? I only wish I could monitor its operation with wifi like you EO70W dehumidifier unit. I monitor energy use with a Sense monitor but will go with Shelly module. This app is a great app. I really enjoy it. However, it just doesn’t work for me after a few days. Error is “Server is experiencing problems. Please check back later. Some customers are seeing server performance issues. We are aware of the issue and are working hard to fix it….” The thermostat is working fine locally. There’s no way to delete the thermostat from the app, so I created an entirely new account, and reconnected the thermostat to my home WiFi again. Now the app just says “failed to verify connection to AprilAire cloud”. Is there anything I can do to get this to work? Their app is absolutely the worst app in the market for smart thermostats. They should go buy a Nest or Evobee and see why this are so successful.
