They need to add a smart beacon (only sends beacons when moving) ### 3/5 — TX Only *2019-08-24* It sends your position only. The map is only useful if stationary. If you are in motion you can’t zoom out, it keeps resizing to zoomed in. You cannot see other nearby stations or navigate to them. ### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed! *2018-01-18* I wanted an easy to use and intuitive app with minimal configuration and fast learning curve. This app does exactly what I expected which is to transmit my position to the aprs network via internet (cell network) and show me on the APRS.FI website which is searchable by call sign. This enables my loved ones to see my position on the web. I wasn't so smart at first as to getting a passcode but if you google it , it is easy to do. I've been researching how to hook it up to portable hand held & have found multiple sources for that also. Very well done from a professional developer. Not a fly by night 'vape wear at all - I give it 10/10 . For .99 cents ? Can't beat it. 73's ! KE0NAZ was here ... 👍🏻 ### 5/5 — APRS TX *2017-03-05* Initially on, experienced some problems with this app; app would not stay active after I went out to another app. I would have to download the app again, re-enter pertinent info and stay in the app. If the phone received a phone call, well I would have to start all over. Contacted Matt, explained my situation and he was very quick to respond with his gratitude and understanding of my situation. Matt did state that a new update had been submitted with hopes that it would clear up my problem. It did!!! I was elated and I can now use this app in my travels across the US of A and not worry about loosing it if a phone call comes in!!!! Thanks Matt!!! Awesome job!!! ### 5/5 — Only HAMs *2016-05-22* Gut gemachte APP für HAMs , die funktionen dieser app sind für HAMs die nicht viele funktionen brauchen wie Batterie zustand oder anderes , lediglich Rufzeichen , PASSCODE und Server sind einzugeben und schon kann man starten. leider kann man mit der APP nicht auf CBAPRS server verbinden wegen der portnummer, eine APP für CBAPRS ist vllt in arbeit, ich habe MATT kontaktiert , nun ist abzuwarten ### 5/5 — Works great *2016-04-18, version 1.1* Just input the call sign and your ssid ... Do not buy. ### 1/5 — Map only shows me *2017-11-17* APRS TX does transmit/ receive my position via the APRS-IS server network. However, it only displays me on its map even though know many other APRS reporting hams are located & active on APRS. Prueba APRS MOBILE, que SI funciona en segundo plano. ### 1/5 — Not useful, waste of money *2016-10-31* The app technically works, however it will not update when my phone is locked or the screen goes to sleep, and there is no option to prevent auto-lock. My only complaint is sometimes the font is too small for me to read (like setting the beacon text). But regardless, whenever I need a quick APRS tracking, I use this. I definitely recommend this app. ### 5/5 — A 1 *2024-04-26* Beat APRS I have found that doesnt extort you for a "subscription" or cost an arm & leg. I appreciate that its not loaded with bloatware "features" that I dont want and dont need. Clean, smooth, efficient, and does exactly what it's supposed to for a modest price and without the "feature clutter" of some apps that try to be eveything to everyone. Intuitive settings. ### 5/5 — Beautifully Simple *2021-08-04* I have used most, if not all of the APRS Applications that can be run on an iPhone. This one is my favorite by far. It is rock-solid stable, and does not muck up the process of using it with a bunch of ancillary, unnecessary, overhead. If you are wanting to run an APRS software on your iPhone to serve as a beacon while you are mobile, as well as have the capability of sending/receiving messages, I highly recommend you download and give this particular software a try. The fact that you can send and receive APRS messages are great.
