I threw it away bought another one. Amazingly that one doesn’t connect either. The doorbell and app are rather too partial to ‘Network Errors’ for my liking — which is a brilliant name for an error considering everything else on that network is working perfectly. 2 stars — because it’s a good product when it works. So the device unit originally shipped with firmware 4.438 had all features working smoothly in Apple Homekit except for the flipping the image 180-deg that can only be done in the Aqara app. But, everything went downhill after I updated the firmware to 4.5.45 and lost all features such as Recording Audio, Night Vision, Spotlight. Who knows maybe more that I’m not aware of. So for just the Apple Home integration reason I rate this product as 1 Star. Maybe this is the direction that Aqara wants to go so that its products remain within Aqara app and not being controlled by Apple Home. I asked to be a product tester hoping to earn locks cameras for outside a hub ,sensors for doors windows.I do it for PuffCO. Already but I can’t afford to replace this I’m healing after hit with shrapnel while volunteering in Ukraijni. 3 yrs I gave to come home haven’t bought a weapon now I’ll have to take the chance and 3D print one. Please ### 5/5 — Apple be praised *2026-05-27, version 6.1.6* So many reviews give advice and caution regarding this product not being easy to set up and signalling issues etc. so far after 3 weeks I couldn’t be happier, im disabled and dont want to be going downstairs to answer the door unnecessarily and now I don’t have to. It’s compatible will all my Apple products which was a key requirement of mine and you are not compelled to have a subscription if you have memory with apple.
