## What is Aqim?

Although many prayer apps are available, Aqim has a simple purpose: provide the essentials for prayer times and iqama, without unnecessary extras, with careful attention to reducing battery use.

Aqim keeps prayer times simple. View the five daily prayers and sunrise, follow the time remaining until iqama and the end of each prayer window, and browse Gregorian and Umm al-Qura dates offline.

Choose a bundled city, enter coordinates, or request your location once. Save monthly AlAdhan times with on-device calculation as fallback, or choose local calculation only. Add a medium or large Home Screen widget. Adjust calculation methods, Asr school, iqama delays, time offsets, language, and 12/24-hour display.

No account, ads, or advertising tracking. Enabled monthly downloads send the selected coordinates to AlAdhan; requested location-name lookup uses Apple services. Manual city selection with local calculation requires neither service.

Iqama is your configured delay, not a live mosque schedule. Times may differ from local timetables. iOS controls widget refresh, notification presentation, sound and Focus. About 12 days of prayer alerts are scheduled; check coverage in Settings and reopen Aqim to renew it when needed and after changing cities.
