AQUA is a Hub Culture powered assistant enabling fluid movement for people placed under quarantine restrictions, currently intended for use by the Government of Bermuda for visitors arriving primarily from Canada, United Kingdom, United States. The service enables users to manage aspects of control over the data generated around their quarantine status. AQUA privately and securely transmits data to relevant authorities (currently approved for use in Bermuda) when needed, but leaves the user in control of data, with retained ownership and transparency of use by authorities, and the ability to recall access if desired by the user. I feel very fortunate that because of this technology I was able to feel a sense of safety and normalcy during COVID which made for an incredible experience on Kauai ### 1/5 — Spies! *2021-03-17, version 4.9* Took a break from being spied upon by corporations to get spied upon by the government. As soon as I logged out I received a junk email from some other subscription service on the email address used for this app. Sigh I guess that’s the way of the tech world these days...the government forces you to give your info to some app and then the tech companies use that info to try to make more money. ### 1/5 — Overreaching *2021-02-13, version 4.6* Nothing like the government and it’s counterparts to try to over reach with this app and a GPS monitoring device for everything you do.
