There is no reason to limit it to 3 ### 4/5 — Good app that could be better *2025-07-10, version 2.10.4* I’ve had Aquanta for about 6yrs. I moved it with me to a new house. Overall good and def has saved some gas, money. One feature I wish it had was a setting to incorporate the starting temperature, goal temperature, set time for reach goal temp and then determine when the tank needs to start heating. Obviously there would need to be learning and calibration curve. I’d like to set water for 120F at 0600 and for it to know that for the rate of heating that it will take xmins to do this. ### 2/5 — Manual timer mode bug *2025-05-20, version 2.8.0* Manual timer mode can leave 1 minute at 11:59 to midnight where timer let’s water heater run for a minute and then abruptly shuts heater down. I have a second hot water tank setup in n a rental using their mid level of aggressive savings auto management. My local usage with boosting shows 1/3 of the energy savings. There is no reason to limit it to 3 ### 2/5 — Interesting app controlled device *2024-09-01, version 2.8.0* I’ve had the Aquanta device a while and been running it a few months on the WH in my workshop. I like it. I run it 30 minutes in the morning and can boost if I need it. The app really needs some simple on/off controls. The away function is ok, but without linking to Smart Hubs (Alexa, Google, Apple, SmartThings, etc.) it’s often overlooked. Also, sell your leak detection device separately! ### 5/5 — Very happy with this device *2024-05-26, version 2.8.0* I installed this device at the beginning of 2024 and have been watching my water heater usage go down each month. That way we can find times when we can save energy or lower usage. ### 4/5 — Customer Service *2024-01-21, version 2.8.0* After having the Aquanta unit installed for a number of years it worked very well, began experiencing with the unit not maintaining connection. Did everything in troubleshooting and followed on lines help to reconnect. Switched wireless services and still cannot connect. This is installed in our cottage 3.5 hrs from home so we are rarely there on weekdays, customer service is only available weekends; not helpful in getting issue resolved. ### 2/5 — Over time *2023-12-26, version 2.8.0* Unit worked as promoted for first year, then somehow got stuck in program mode, green lite continuously flashing. Support gave instructions on how to get it out of program mode but to no success. Still works just doesn’t show when heating mode and when in stand by. App is same, won’t show water temp unless taken out of manage mode. Also the utility plans provided are out of date, support said they update often but in 3 years APS plan has never changed and is not used by me. ### 2/5 — Not flexible enough *2023-11-01, version 2.8.0* A lot of apps (such as this one) feel that they can manage the usage for people, but they can’t. And they lack the flexibility to to allow people to define the best plan for themselves. I have a solar plan and couldn’t find a way to manually set a time-of-use plan. So today 11/1 is the date to switch to winter plan. Have had to pay plumber a few times to come over and give me water temps, readings, etc to see what is happening. It did not work when I was out of town. Meh. I’ve had no one in the house and used 2.5 kWh one day, and then had 3 people over night at the house all taking showers and some how it says the water heater only used .025 kWh. Idk, for the $180 cost I don’t feel like it’s worth it. ### 1/5 — Needs Better User Support *2022-12-17, version 2.7.0* Lost internet connectivity when we upgraded the modem for faster speed. App doesn’t have reconnect ability. It only tells you that you need to reconnect. Aquanta website is useless as well, no information there. It would be nice if the app looked more like the pics in the App Store which showed a graphic of the water heater and amount of hot water. ### 5/5 — Aquanta water heater controller *2026-01-11, version 2.11.1* I have 2 of these products. 1 is on a solar water heater for the electric back up the other is on a lp gas water heater.both units work flawlessly allowing me to operate either unit remotely and to set schedules& temperature. I am also able to track usage which has helped me cut energy cost.
