The moment it loses wifi connectivity it won’t be able to follow schedules. If by any reason it loses power, the Leds will stay off no matter how you set it up for days until they go back to work again. There has to be some sort of internal clock that needs Internet to sync and when its out of sync you can see that the device responds to the app because you can turno on and off the top blue “ambient” light but LEDS wont work. Suddenly leds decide to work days later until next wifi random disconnect. ANY OTHER LIGHT WILL BE BETTER THAN THIS ### 1/5 — Does not connect *2026-07-26, version 2.2* I bought the optibright strip for my tank and the light itself is wonderful, however, it only will connect via Bluetooth meaning I cannot set a schedule. So every night I have to go up within a close range to the tank to toggle on and off the lights. I paid $130 for this light mostly because it was a smart device and I like that I could customize the schedule. Well the schedule doesn’t work at all for customizing blue lights and more importantly, the Bluetooth has decided to randomly stop working (after about a month) and will not reconnect. Our house is full of smart devices so I understand they aren’t perfect, but this one won’t reconnect at all even after resetting it. Won’t let me connect the device to WiFi or even turn on with Bluetooth. Without the WiFi option you cannot control the lighting system properly.
