## What is Aquero?

Aquero is a quiet companion for anyone who has come to love Our Lady of Lourdes: pilgrims, the sick, hospitaliers, and those who pray from far away.

Each day, the home screen offers a short Marian quote from a saint, a pope, or Bernadette herself. The Pray section gathers the rosary, the novena to St. Bernadette, the novena to the Immaculate Conception, the Way of the Cross at Lourdes, and the great Marian prayers (the Memorare, the Magnificat, the Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes, the Prayer of a Poor Beggar). The Lourdes section tells the story of Bernadette and the eighteen apparitions, the message of Lourdes, and the Church-recognized cures.

The novena to St. Bernadette is structured as it should be: nine consecutive days, with the option to pick up where you left off if you miss a day. The Way of the Cross is a swipeable carousel of the fourteen stations, each pairing the Passion of Christ with the parallel witness of Bernadette. Optional reminders can invite you to begin a novena nine days before each major feast (Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Bernadette, the Immaculate Conception).

Aquero collects nothing about you. No accounts. No analytics. No ads. No cloud. Your novena progress and your settings live only on your phone. The app works fully offline. A small "Support this work" button opens a Stripe donation page in your browser if you'd like to help; donations are not tax-deductible.

For sanctuary maps, Mass schedules, and on-site logistics, Aquero defers to the official Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Lourdes (lourdes-france.org). Aquero is its devotional and historical companion: what you carry home from the grotto.

Eight new Bernadette quotes from her years at Nevers, transcribed from Some of Bernadette's Sayings (Espace Bernadette, Nevers, 1978), plus one March 1879 quote at the start of her final months.

The Regina Caeli now includes a small footnote on when it replaces the Angelus.

A "Leave a review" row on the More tab, a "Send Feedback" form, and the donation page now opens inside the app instead of bouncing out to Safari.
