### 5/5 — Nice job

*2011-09-25, version 1.3*

This dictionary was very helpful for me to pick the meaning of words either in Arabic or English. Thanks a lot. Will be awesome if you can add the phrasal verbs to the English dictionary such as (pick up, cut off, figure out, write down,...). Thanks

### 5/5 — More useful than other electronic dictionaries I've tried

*2011-03-15, version 1.2*

I'm in language training for work right now and I came in with almost no Arabic vocabulary. This app includes even obscure words I can't find in other dictionaries and sometimes it will give me a verb without making me break it down to the root first.

### 4/5 — 3,5 star

*2011-03-01, version 1.2*

I like this app but I needs to improve more such as adding more words finding mistakes in sone words
After all it's a good start keep it up
And I hope we will see you working on this app more
Great start

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2011-02-20, version 1.1*

Nice app, you can search both Arabic to English and vice versa.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not good at all

*2011-05-05, version 1.2*

Arabic language buddy is much better this dictionary. I hope the creator will make some adjustments.

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2011-02-21, version 1.1*

Good start, but needs a native English-speaking content editor. There are many non-words, and many errors in the controls of the program itself. Keep going!

### 3/5 — Strong dictionary

*2013-05-23, version 3.0*

Good variety of vocabulary but sometimes crashes when trying to use the voice/speaker functions.

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2015-04-24, version 4.4*

Nice app whereas you can use it while you are offline

### 4/5 — I'm wondering about this

*2013-04-27, version 2.0*

On first impression, this app is pretty cool. It gives pronunciations, which I find very nice since I am not a native Arabic speaker and am often unsure how to pronounce some Arabic words.

However… Upon typing in the word "الله" I'm not sure what is happening, but the pronunciation is NOTHING like what it's supposed to sound like.
It should sound something like "Allah," but the pronunciation sounds more like 'dam-ha' or 'dunn-ha'.

Other than that, the other pronunciations seem fine. So I'm sort of confused about this.

### 4/5 — Pretty Good

*2012-06-15, version 2.0*

Even has English curse words...hahaha This has the potential for some real fun 

### 4/5 — Awesome App

*2012-05-16, version 2.0*

User friendly

### 4/5 — Great app. But would like to see one improvement.

*2012-05-01, version 2.0*

This app does 90% of what I was hoping, far more than any app I've installed before. For this app it is really simple to switch from English->Arabic to Arabic-English. All you need to do is start typing your search query in the one language and app immediately knows which direction you wish to go. (You must have Arabic and English keyboards installed on my iPhone, but that's an easy setting to make. Be aware that there are hidden characters you can get by holding down one of the letters, e.g., holding down aliff brings up the hamsaa and other settings.) The app returns a primary hit plus a number of alternatives, sorted by grammatical type. You can listen to the pronunciation of the primary hit. But you CANNOT listen to the pronunciation of the alternatives--that's the major capability I've found wanting.

### 4/5 — Cool!

*2012-04-12, version 2.0*

Nice app

### 4/5 — Excellent dictionary

*2012-01-02, version 1.3*

A fantastic App, I just wish that the bookmarked words could be used as flashcards, perhaps with the App "Flashcards+". This would be a very valuable learning tool! Unfortunately, though, some words are not included like رغضد
