I have the same information from last soccer season. Any suggestions? ### 2/5 — It’s fine - when it works *2023-10-24* The app works reasonably well and we use it to assigns umpires to games. But, it does not send notifications when new games are assigned even if the app is left running in the background. You have to manually open the app and view the calendar. It also must force log off since even if I leave it in the background I have to login every time. To make it worse, recently the app gives a server error every time I want to block a date or certain hours in a day. This completely negates the usefulness of the app So, when it works, it’s ok. But in reality it has become a frustrating app to use. I’ve reached out for support- no response, so another fail. ### 2/5 — Needs a notification for self assign *2023-10-18* Need a feature both within the app and the desktop version to send a notification when new games are made available via self- assign. ### 2/5 — Login process is awful *2023-05-26* This app continuously asks for my login information as it does not save any information for logging in. When I do get logged in, it will kick me out and ask for me to log in again! So frustrating that it does this. ### 3/5 — Getting better but need to see notes *2022-12-13, version 3.8.0* The app is much better than it was a few years ago. However, the texting the crew feature doesn’t work for me. Also, I still need to go to the website to be able to see notes for each event. I was late to an event last week because I only looked at it on the app and I didn’t see the note that said I was supposed to be there early. ### 2/5 — App never opens *2022-09-12, version 3.8.0* I constantly have to delete and reinstall just for it to open once and not open after that. Makes it impossible to use. ### 2/5 — Crashing *2022-07-29, version 3.8.0* This app always seems to crash… (service error ) time and time again. ### 2/5 — Would love for notifications to work. *2022-03-06, version 3.8.0* The app itself works fine if you can’t get to a desktop. However, in app it says “if you force close the app, notifications will not work till you restart it.” Well, I don’t want to run the app all the time. That’s pretty inconvenient and poorly designed, especially in season where last second assignments do get posted. ### 1/5 — Unable to sign on *2022-01-13, version 3.8.0* I can easily sign in from my computer but not on the mobile app. ### 2/5 — Fix authentication! *2021-11-01, version 3.8.0* PLEASE fix the app so we do not need to enter the password multiple times a day. Sessions in an app like this should not time out after a few hours! ### 1/5 — P.O.S. *2021-10-25, version 3.8.0* This is probably the worst app that I have to have on my phone. It never remembers my passwords and constantly logs me out. It’s amazingly slow for how simple the app is. If I do need to send a password recovery request I have to go to the website. I don’t know why I have the app if everything I need to do I can only do on the website. Overall it’s just garbage. Fix your app arbiter ### 1/5 — Horrible - please talk your association out of using arbiter *2021-04-18, version 3.8.0* There should be a zero or negative star option! This app is terrible. Why does it log me out over and over and over again? Stop logging me out! ### 2/5 — Why do I have to hit the green check mark 20 times for it to register *2020-11-10, version 3.8.0* The app freezes up and when I go to accept a game I have to select the green check mark multiple times before it registers. I have tried selecting it once for accepting and once when the contract comes up but it never registers. It should take just a few seconds to accept games but has taken up to 5 minutes. How hard is that to correct. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled and have upgraded phones with same issue. This has been going on for at least 3 years. What’s the point if I have to find a computer to accept games? ### 1/5 — Still barely useful. *2020-10-12, version 3.8.0* App is FAR too slow. Takes several minutes to update schedule. No access to team contact information. Still need to try to use web page if you need to reach the coach at last minute. Come to think of it, the Arbiter as a whole is a piece of crap. They definitely do not think much of their officials’ personal information. Too bad they have too many state organizations and local assignors fooled. ### 1/5 — Awful *2020-07-29, version 3.8.0* Incorrect game times. App freezing and kicking me out. Unable to see assigned games. Blocks disappearing despite never being removed. This app needs some serious work. Not to mention the constant shutdowns in order to “fix” the many issues although they never seem to change. Now, I’ve been signed out of the app without doing so manually, and my sign in fails every time. I know I’m putting in the correct information because when I sign in on the website it works fine. I can’t even reset the password by sending it to my email. This is a major problem and has caused many issues for my boss, me, and my many co-workers. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Look elsewhere for official scheduling software *2024-04-21* I work for 7 different assignors over the year and arbiter is just a horrible system. The iOS app boots you off the app on n most daily basis. The assigning portion of the app feels like it was written and designed by someone that has never officiated a game on their life. Just miserable experience….. every single day. My suggestion is to use paper and phone calls if you want your scheduling to actually work :( or any other software that you can find. ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-12-07* This app is the epitome of worthless. I can’t even login on the app. I changed my password on a desktop computer and then tried it,no go! I’ve deleted the app, restarted my phone, etc after finding a 1-800 number I was able to talk with a representative and she said the app has had issues/bugs for at least 3 or 4 months. Now I have to check everything on my laptop which I don’t carry 24/7. Is anyone else having this login problem? ### 1/5 — Frustrating!! *2023-09-28* I can’t login to this apps. No problem on the website. Same user name and password, but can’t get in. Sent support case ticket and reply after 3 days. Please fix. When it worked, I like being able to text the whole crew. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2023-09-22* There are multiple things wrong with this app. First, the app does not do facial recognition from the phone for your password. Second, does not sync with the online account with your password. Last, that constantly resets itself and forces you to sign in with the password. Now we are forced to do two part authentication on the Web what a bunch of crap especially when you an assignor. ### 1/5 — This app is terrible *2023-09-07* This app is awful with no useful customer service. There is no mechanism to contact anyone to access an account. They clearly have a profile on me because they have my athletes spring sports loaded when I open the app, but they don’t recognize any email address including the one I used to successfully log into the desktop version. Schools should use literally any other app than this one. Both the desktop and the mobile apps are absolute garbage. Run away. Do not use this. ### 1/5 — Desperate need of update! *2023-05-10* This app has not been touched or updated in over three years, and it clearly shows. The app is incredibly slow, freezes a lot, and makes you sign in after every time you switch off the app, which is incredibly annoying. ### 1/5 — With how prevalent phones are in day to day life this app leaves so much to be desired. *2023-03-23* These are all the issues I’ve personally found. Push notifications don’t work unless you leave the app open all the time, and even then it’s hit and miss. The app crashes when you try to set blocks. The profile used in the app can only be edited on a desktop, even though it’s the same exact profile. You cannot block schools or officials in the app, only days, if it doesn’t crash on you. The directory only shows half of the names before crashing. ### 1/5 — Constantly wiping logon *2022-10-14, version 3.8.0* I setup facial recognition and your app keeps wiping out my login. The web base Arbiter is not mobile friendly. This is the only way I can use my login. Being an assignor we pay ArbiterSports enough money. ### 1/5 — This app is terrible *2022-04-27, version 3.8.0* Worst app of all time. I work in IT and have had my fair share of bad apps. But this one is down right unusable. It has not been updated in 2 years that is unacceptable. Blocking off dates is broken. Takes 6 or 7 tries before it actually saves the block. ### 1/5 — Identity Breach *2022-02-27, version 3.8.0* Aside from all the bugs and issues with the app, Arbiter Sports was responsible for a massive data breach recently where personal information, including SSN, was exposed. They offered nothing more than what was required by law. This company manages to be a middle-man to local sports while giving up your data. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — New update fixes everything *2018-02-13, version 3.5.0* It looks like every concern was met by new update. My connect subscription seems to be recognised immediately. I did not expect this but am now able to see if I was paid via Arbiter for any game on my schedule by clicking on the game and there is even a feature where I can pull up all unpaid games to make sure checks came in for those not on Arbiter. I could not get Arbiter to email me the ICal address for my calendar no matter how I tried but the app has an option to add calendar to iPhone and that worked. So now, I don’t have to take all the steps to login to Arbiter to see my schedule, location, role assigned, partner etc. Which is what I’ve always wanted to be able to do. You have an active link now for gps directions from app (as well as google calendar if you add the iCal calendar feature). The app has an active link within each listed assignment for each partner, administrative contact at location and assignor. There is a small charge now to get reminders sent to you for games via ArbiterConnect but worth every penny to be able to better keep track of schedule. Certainly there was some expense in developing this software so the subscription amount is well earned in my opinion. Blocking dates from the app is much easier than from the website as well. ### 5/5 — Worth it *2017-08-04, version 3.4.0* For all you cheapskates. On your phone it puts all your assignments right on your calendar app where are you can have an alert. When you're away from your laptop or iPad it makes it easy to see and call your partner or the school you're working at if you need to and does it quickly. Worth nine dollars a year ### 4/5 — Logging in issues. *2024-05-23* If app will not log you in saying wrong email or password or expired, delete app and re download. I had to use website for a week then tried that and works fine again! - Umpire ### 4/5 — Steven *2023-11-24* Would give it a 5 if the notifications still worked. When first started using app all new game assignments created an instant notification. Like I wish I could block off Mondays without entering each on individual. ### 4/5 — Getting better *2021-06-05, version 3.8.0* Two years ago it was buggy, cranky and unreliable. Much improved since then. A further improvement shouldn’t be too hard. I’d like to see a different color used in the font for new games assigned but not accepted. Would be much easier and quick to find them. **Developer response:** Unicorn Breath - First, great iTunes handle....but the issue here is of payment. Due to how iTunes does their app fees, apps requiring a subscription have to show as free. Similar to Netflix, the app appears free in the store. Sorry for any confusion. ### 4/5 — Almost there *2020-03-11, version 3.8.0* This app has everything except the ability to sign up for tournaments and events, which I hope is the ultimate goal. Find a way to incorporate the “custom fields” portion of the Arbiter website please. ### 4/5 — Good Resource - Room for improvement *2019-06-19, version 3.7.0* Really solid app for first try. Hopefully Arbiter continues to add functionality and improvements. The annoying thing is taking away Touch Id login. Makes signing in areal PITA. **Developer response:** Great feedback Brian! We're looking into different ways we can address some of problems with logging in. But to be real, a fix might be months away. As you mentioned, we'll continue to work on this to make steady improvements. ### 4/5 — Saved me more than once *2018-04-18, version 3.5.2* The Mobile App loads much faster than the web based version. When you are trying to connect to a partner or contact a school Administrator time is important. Even in areas with poor cell service the mobile app loads quickly to provide the info I need to get the game going.
