### 1/5 — Lack of support, non existent dev team

*2023-12-03, version 1.10*

Hi Dev Team.

Look I hate giving bad reviews, but there something needed to be addressed. Why the lack of support? the lack of updates? mac support? I've made this list of pros and cons just for everyone to see.

Pros:
Not hard to use
Has auto tracking
app remote

Cons: (get ready)
- Lack of app updates (more than 1y ago)
- Lack of hardware updates
- Lack of support
- Arc randomly disconnects and moves by itself moving my camera out of the focus point (Also does this when turning it on)
- Payed 2k+ in products that were pretty much thrown away by the dev team
- No good customizability
- UI is just trash
- Major bugs and glitches
- no Updates logs so you don't even know what they fixed (Most likely nothing)
- used for almost 2 years had a whopping number of 1 update that did something. (It ruined the UI, and usability)

this just looks like a money grab and then leave all the customers in the dust with no support. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Spend your money elsewhere.

### 1/5 — It’s been over 3 years and still no timelapse functionality in App

*2023-11-08, version 1.10*

The Arc II is a decent motion head for video and timelapse work. What bothers me the most is that I have owned the Arc II for over 3 years and there’s STILL no TIMELAPSE functionality in the app. Even with the latest firmware update they still show “coming very soon.” - the exact same message as years ago when the product first came out.

Rhino Camera Gear- Please add the promised functionality for timelapse via the app. It surely can’t be all that difficult considering the functionality is already there in video mode.

### 1/5 — Timelapse support coming?

*2022-10-29, version 1.10*

Timelapse function should be supported by now.

### 1/5 — App crashes everytime I try to enter Video Mode

*2022-02-09*

Everytime I connect the app to my Arc II and press the Video tab the app just quits. I've tried this on two different phones and the same thing. Come on guys, kind of be nice to control my Arc 2 that I spent thousands of dollars on via the app. Seriously thinking about going back to Edelkrone unless this gets sorted.

### 1/5 — Technical problem in software and hardware

*2021-07-08, version 1.09*

Technical problem in software and hardware

### 1/5 — Incredible overpriced

*2020-07-06*

The whole device is amazing but for that price you buy a profesional camera. It is better to buy a profesional camera and for just 500$ buy the same exact set but from a Chinese brand. They actually just tried to reinvent existing products and improve them. But the truth is you are paying and overpriced product to make some guys rich. It is also not as reliable as you would expect from a 4k$ product. It does overheat, the battery is unstable, the app seems not to always connect properly or the inputs are delivered with a huge delay. And the tripod of manfrotto they included is not the best model for this whole device. I get even charge you for something you don’t need or that you can get better for less money. In short words, wait until a Chinese company improve their models like Neewer or similar, because this guys are just here for the money not the quality.

### 2/5 — A Timelapse slider app

*2024-05-12, version 1.10*

It doesn’t even support controlling the Timelapse slider. Waste of time! As others have said, had for years and little support or updates to make this function for its intended purpose.

### 2/5 — Firmware Won’t Install

*2024-02-11, version 1.10*

App won’t control Arc II without a firmware update, and won’t update. Just sits on the screen with the progress indicator moving but after an hour, nothing but more progress indicator. I’m at a loss.

### 2/5 — no longer supported as of jan 2024

*2024-01-29, version 1.10*

app was never finished. it was the only way to update firmware on arc 2. what’s in it does work, but it’s a bit clumsy and it’s faster, easier, simpler to just control the hardware directly. hope they get some funds together and create a new v3 because we did pay for this app to work as part of hardware purchase.

### 3/5 — Firmware update is wonky

*2024-06-22, version 1.10*

The app says a firmware update is needed, but it just loops endlessly.

But I rebooted the arc and the app gave the connect option very soon, so I connected as it was booting and that let me into the firmware updates.

### 3/5 — App isn’t at full potential

*2022-07-22, version 1.10*

Please consider the following 3 key points…

The auto-focus tracking needs improvement especially considering you’re using the iPhones camera inside the app to track a subject.

Here’s my recommendation:

1. Make the camera inside the app have access to utilize all 3 cameras on the iPhone.

For example, if I’m using the iPhone 13 pro, let me have the option of using the super wide / normal / telephoto lens. I believe that will allow the rhino arc II to track better.

2. Make this app support any ipad. IPad mini would be insanely great. Please make this a reality asap.

3. If the only viewfinder we saw through a phone/iPad was the actual cameras that we are shooting with that’s on the arc II, that would enable far superior auto tracking of a subject than trying to replicate the same with the lens of an iPhone/iPad.

Please do these changes, I want to use this rhino arc II on every shoot from now on!!

### 3/5 — No support for iPad

*2020-06-27, version 1.06*

Please add iPad support. It’s hard enough not having an Android app, but no iPad support is salt in the wound. However, I love the hardware! When I load the app on iPad, there is no pan tilt axis when creating key frames.
