Such simple differences from safari or chrome but they actually make a world of a difference. Just simple little changes that you wouldn’t think of when using other browsers but as soon as you are on Arc, you’re just like wow, why don’t other browsers do this? I love the organization in spaces, the customization on desktop, simple and actually nice to use AI, amazing UX design, shortcuts that make sense, syncing mobile and desktop is great, the ad and pop up blocking without downloading extensions is flawless. I just love Arc and won’t ever be switching after trying it out. ### 3/5 — Loved it a lot before but now it’s getting worse *2026-06-08, version 1.46.1* Coming from Google Search which drained my battery too quickly, I switched to Google with Arc Search and overall I have gotten better results with my phone battery. However over time, I have noticed that this app has gotten worse. Sometimes the curser in the search bar disappears when I am searching something. This makes it frustrating to move the typing indicator when editing text in the search bar and when you can’t even see it. This app has gotten much slower over time too. I feel like it has gotten harder and harder to find a fast browser. JavaScript purging is slow as molasses on Arc, even reloading Wiki can sometimes take 10-15 seconds even with perfect low Wi-Fi latency and fast speed. Wiki is a lightweight website and on a modern iPhone 17 Pro with a A19 Pro processor, it should only take less than half a second. I never understood why server lag has gotten worse on so many browsers lately too which contributes to this slow speed. The app also crashes sometimes when I multitask or search something too quickly. Overall, while I loved Arc at the beginning, I feel like it has lost its charm overtime with these bugs and slow performance and I hope it gets fixed. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pc app sucks *2026-08-17, version 1.48.0* The iPhone app is fine, but if I cannot use the same app on my pc then it’s pointless. Kudos for what it’s trying to accomplish, but the pc app is completely broken for me. It will boot once and then subsequently show an error saying the pc can’t open this app. Since I can’t use this app on both devices I’m uninstalling it everywhere and going back to chrome ### 1/5 — A sad goodbye to what was the best browser *2026-07-30, version 1.46.1* I’ve waited as long as possible before leaving this review because I loved Arc that much. It completely changed how I browsed the web, and I used to look forward to every release note. Unfortunately, ever since the team pivoted and left desktop Arc behind, I’ve been forced to move on. I spent months trying to make Dia work, but it doesn't replace what made Arc special. There was easily room for both browsers to exist side-by-side. It’s been such a letdown hoping for a comeback that never arrived. Arc started with so much promise—a fresh take on browsing, actual innovation, things we didn't know we needed. Then you decided "let's fix what isn't broken" and gave us... another Chromium wrapper with chatbot integration. The vertical tabs were nice while they lasted. The spaces concept? Actually clever. But somewhere along the way you forgot that a browser's job is to browse the web, not to be a playground for your AI experiments. Now it's sluggish, overengineered, and trying to be everything at once—which means it does nothing well. Congrats on the exit, I guess. Unfortunately, this app sucks and doesn’t give me the same experience I expected. Sign it doesn’t even work, keeps saying credential / validation error, but closing and signing in again gives me the same issue. I reset the password multiple times and yet still errors. Even though after it errors, it saves the email as if I’m signed in, but then it says that nothing has synced. Complete waste of time. But week after week, useless feature after useless feature, with no cross-platform pollination or parity… Not sure if they’re chasing headlines, users, or just have too much funding. Each is a decent product by itself but after so much time with them on Mac and iPhone, and still no iPad app, I’m about to give up hope that they’ll ever get it together and be more than quick shooting star.
