The one thing I need is to calculate the absolute value of an equation I’m making, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it. I can’t find the bar symbol, I can’t type “abs()” and there is no glossary for inserting it. Everything else is pretty amazing, but this one feature being absent and subsequently revealing that there is little in the ways of researching it has tanked my opinion. Ability to see different lines with different calculations there at glance is just killer feature. I’m so used to use this principle so I cannot use any other applications. My usual way to use this calculator is to switch from Archimedes to another app (e.g. Mail or Notes) in order to get numbers or paste them and then come back to Archimedes. Only one thing I beg to developer: please make something (if it’s possible) to avoid situation when you wasn’t in calculator for some time and it cleaned all the lines. Sometimes my workflow make me stuck in one application and when I come back to calculator I see totally clean screen. The format is similar th the basic functions of graphing calculators, where you can go and see old things you have typed and copy and paste and set up complicated equations ams see them typed out. I have not tried the graphing functions or anything but as a calculator app, I will never go back the basic Apple calculator as long as this one is around. It’s has very friendly user interface unlike one line calculators have. It gives you answers as a decimal or exact form. It's simple and well designed, and the exact/numeric switching is a great feature to have. This one has no ads and has a great and intuitive UI. It also allows you to solve equations. Suggestions (i might add more later): * Easier way to copy results with the ability to round the result before copying * Don't dim the previous calculations because its hard to read * Custom variable letters * Change the "contradiction" message to say "no solution" * Color code the vaiables in the result when doing an equation ### 3/5 — Good, but limited. *2020-03-04, version 3.3.3* No way to do systems of equations, integrals, derivatives, combinations, permutations, etc. Not a CAS for sure. It lacks a few features that, if added, would put me over the edge to buy the upgrade. I really want a factorial button (doing the multiplication “by hand” is annoying). Along with that I want a permutations (nPr) and a choose function (nCr), this would make calculations related to statistics much easier. The trigonometric functions do not output correct values regardless of use with degrees vs radians. This calculator states sin(140deg) = 0.681807 where google and my TI-83 state that sin(140deg) = 0.642788. This can result in very significant percent errors if using trig functions for intensive calculations.
