### 3/5 — Ehh idk about this one

*2025-08-20, version 1.4*

I just got into Cybercode today and saw that there was something similar in the works. Cybercode felt great so I assumed this would be a step up but I was disappointed shortly after. I thought I would be more immersed into this but it started feeling like the other 1000’s of gacha games when I saw that mercenary system… I also noticed that everything got a visual update (from Cybercode online) but the dungeon and it kind of shattered the immersion even more.. Then I realized everything looked like it was AI generated and it just started making me lose interest even further Some good things that were great to see was no implementation of a energy system for things players would actively interact with, I’ve seen other games try to use this as a point to squeeze all the money they can out of players and end up losing them If there was a way to have characters/avatars update with the equipment they have on, it might create more immersion as well but they’d need to have someone create those images and ai isn’t exactly the greatest at precision work, so that may take sometime if implemented I don’t think I’ll be going back to this in the near future because it feels like things were just slapped together unfortunately and it just feels bad playwise. I’m looking to see how this develops in the far future though.

(Update: Nvm they implemented an energy system…geez this is pretty bad 🤦‍♂️)

### 3/5 — Good so far

*2025-08-14*

Better than CyberCodeOnline. It doesn’t have the silliness / ridiculousness: for example, I haven’t fought an Apple in this game. However, the creepy almost soft-core porn images and animations with bouncing body parts are embarrassing and mean that a ton of people (myself included) will never play this game in public or suggest it to anyone. That’s a bummer because cyberpunk is awesome and the genre needs all the help it can get.

### 5/5 — Lies

*2024-11-19, version 1.3*

Negative review is lying. This is very different and addictively fun.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2024-07-09, version 1.3*

Great game

### 5/5 — Cyberpunk galore

*2024-04-16, version 1.3*

Great game. Soundtrack is gold. Text based games will always live.

### 5/5 — Awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2024-03-31, version 1.3*

Great little game with a crazy amount of depth! Most games like this are so difficult and it can make me lose interest, not this one though. Recommend it!!

### 3/5 — Neat concept

*2024-03-20, version 1.3*

It’s an okay, if very repetitive rogue-light game with mmo and gacha elements. Lots of AI generated art, which I’ll elaborate on below.

Most of the game seems related to raiding procedurally generated dungeons to upgrade your “mercenaries”, and maybe pull better ones in the gacha later.

The combat moves quick, but is a little bland. You use your pulled characters as attacks, equipping 5 at a time. While you wait for them to charge, you take shots at your opponent by holding down a button until the reticle is in a hit zone. You can over/undercharge the shot and miss. This feature is pretty unique, and I’m interested to see if it evolves in any way - perhaps it can be modified later. Otherwise you are simply pressing your win-the-fight buttons when they are off cooldown, and wishing you had more upgrade materials so they can one-shot more consistently.

When you create your character, you get to edit some superficial features like eye color. Interestingly, changing the eye color changes the angle your character appears in their portrait. It’s here you will realize that all the art seems to be AI generated. I think this works great for personalizing 2D characters, as this would be an extremely time intensive feature to implement without AI. Despite that, this also leads to some weird looking NPC/gacha character designs. The item store clerk for example is holding a device which looks like a cross between a gun and a phone.

It’s cool to see AI used to make a game at this scale by a solo dev, but I do wish they’d state it somewhere on the store page because I know this is till considered taboo for many players. I’m a little concerned about the usual pay-to-win gacha features, but I’m not far enough in yet where I’ve been road blocked by high rarity character dps checks. If anything is halting my progress it’s getting drowsy clearing out ~25 encounters to complete each same-y dungeon.

The game might not be especially exciting, but there are a few interesting ideas and the AI art is being used in ways I haven’t seen before. I’ll stick around for a bit to see how it develops over time.

### 3/5 — Idk

*2024-02-19, version 1.3*

Idk… it’s decent but it isn’t great, it’s a good time waster though.

### 5/5 — Good Game

*2024-02-16, version 1.3*

I liked the idea of your previous game but I like games like this more where you can see your own character, I also really like the art setting, and music but if its AI please find some other way to get your art.

If the goal of this game is to reach a new audience you did a really good job.

but please change the icon and app store pictures so people can tell this game is completely different from your last game,

Give us more music please!

### 5/5 — Minimalistic Cyberbunk

*2024-01-31, version 1.3*

Has really cute art and is well made. Can’t wait to get further in.

### 5/5 — Can be fantastic

*2024-01-30, version 1.3*

I loved cybercode, but it missed the pvp, this game has it but i feel like it’s lacking in some parts. For example i’m not a big fan of anime girls ai art, when you prepare to fight an assassin boss you don’t expect to see a japanese girl, and also we miss the social part of cybercode, that is what kept everyone playing the game, the community, this one feels lonely. And also i would add more dungeons, maybe find some special key and enter some special dungeons? Spice things up. I like that now items and enemies have pictures, it’s a really nice touch, but please go easy on the anime girls for every npc and enemy in the game, we’re not all weebs.
Anyway i recommend this game if you’re a sci-fi fan that likes chill MMOs. Keep the good work up!

### 5/5 — Like it

*2023-11-25, version 1.3*

Not require a lot of your time to play it. A lot of content, quests. Love to play that game

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Arclight city, a fetid waste of toxicity

*2026-03-10, version 1.4*

When I first started playing this game, it was fun. The community was a little whacky but tolerable. But nowadays? With no moderation and no punishment for returning should you be banned for doing anything deplorable, you can basically do what you want to anyone you want with no backlash. The dev could fix this with any form of up verification but claims legal problems make them the only platform unable to do this. If you value your sanity, I’d play something else.

### 1/5 — Pay to play game

*2025-12-07, version 1.4*

Don’t waste time playing - energy or pychosis taking forever to remove. Take 15mins to remove 20 pychosis, each battle cost 4 pychosis- Neuroblocker helps remove pychosis that drop in Strongholds. Drop rate is zero to None. Only 1 free daily or waste money to purchase it. Uninstall this game and Download CYBERCODE Online which lot better and original.

### 1/5 — Another cash grab for the dev.

*2024-08-28, version 1.3*

Mostly a copy of his previous game, but now with gacha. Don’t waste your money!

### 1/5 — Low effort AI generated game

*2024-01-27, version 1.3*

There are some cool aspects to this game but they are unoriginal and the combat is boring. A match three type of game would be more interesting than holding tap for a second and a half to attack.

### 1/5 — Dumb

*2023-10-12, version 1.2*

Awfully lazy artwork, you could tell that it was AI generated from a mile away. Character customization is a joke as it’s all predefined images. Can’t even change skin tone, which is ridiculously backwards for a game released in 2023. 🤣

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-09-20*

Can’t do anything, unless in game purchases?

Nothing works when you click on it

### 1/5 — Just bad

*2023-09-17, version 1.0*

Literally can’t do anything. You need a weapon to play but you need money to buy a weapon.

Also, the AI generated artwork is VERY bad.

### 2/5 — Okay so far, except

*2025-08-23, version 1.4*

Better than CyberCodeOnline. It doesn’t have the same ridiculousness: for example, I haven’t fought an Apple in this game. I haven’t worn a light saber as pants. However, the creepy almost soft-core porn images and animations with bouncing body parts are embarrassing and mean that a ton of people (myself included) will never play this game in public or suggest it to anyone. That’s a bummer because cyberpunk is awesome and the genre needs all the help it can get.

### 2/5 — CyberCode is much better

*2024-04-05, version 1.3*

I like anime so I thought I would like this. I don’t know why but it just made me want to play CyberCode more. There are way to many anime girls I was hoping to have some guys on my team for mercenaries. I probably won’t play this at all ever again. However, I’m definitely looking forward to more CyberCode content.

### 2/5 — Tedious, broken, boring, abandoned

*2024-03-22, version 1.3*

Somehow worse than Cybercode. Anime girls all over with random names. Very unbalanced, tedious UI, signs of lazy development abound, too much reliance on IAPs to progress at a normal rate after only 20 or so levels. Built in “Wiki” doesn’t clearly answer some important information. Developer appears to have moved on.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic Game

*2025-12-29, version 1.4*

Very captivating and in early stage development. I’m looking forward to the possibilities of updates and add-ons. 100/10 review for me!

### 5/5 — Soundtrack

*2025-10-28, version 1.4*

Add more tracks

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2025-10-15, version 1.4*

I played the first one and loved it, this one adds better mechanics and gameplay it’s definitely the better choice

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-10-14, version 1.4*

been looking for something casual and fun to scratch that cyberpunk itch and this is 100% doing that for me. please continue to go all out for this game, the minigames and general aesthetic is on point as well.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-08-28, version 1.4*

If you like the web based game torn, then you will love this take on that style game.

### 5/5 — Cool game

*2025-08-05, version 1.4*

It’s fun, nothing insane or anything. Typical time waster

### 5/5 — Unplayable at this state on my device

*2025-06-03, version 1.4*

You don’t have it optimized for iPhone X and up they have the weird screens and it’s not even well shaped to my screen idk if there’s settings to fix it or not bc you can’t access the settings without finishing the forced tutorial and you can’t even get three steps into the tutorial with the way the screen is please fix it

### 5/5 — Game is fun!

*2025-04-30, version 1.4*

Pretty fun text based game! Easy to learn too!!

### 5/5 — Super sick!!

*2025-03-22, version 1.3*

The first game was awesome! This is I guess the second game by the creator. Even better!! Super sick mmorpg!!! Best one I have played on phone. Have it for both iPhone and android, both versions work flawlessly!! Keep up the great work bud! Thanks so much!!!!!

### 5/5 — Best text rpg

*2024-12-01, version 1.3*
