### 4/5 — If you liked the original don't miss this one

*2015-06-05, version 1.5.1*

This app is the evolution of the original Arctic Synth. Bringing the best of the original with great enhancements to keep this app an useful part of your sonic palette.

Don't be fooled by the price, and the name. This thing can do from subtle to brutal in no time. If you want to learn synthesis, this is one of those to get and tweak to your heart's content.

### 4/5 — Stands Out

*2014-06-02, version 1.1.1*

This power house of a synth looks good, sounds good and is capable of producing some very nice sounds.
Just like its little brother it has a very nice four part sequencer section.
It does have the odd stability issue with the occasional crash here and there which I'm sure the Dev will address very soon but at the end of the day the sound is what matters and this sounds great and different from most synths.

### 4/5 — Sehr gut!

*2014-05-01, version 1.1.1*

### 4/5 — Good synth

*2013-12-06*

It is a pretty good app witch sounds a bit like a mininova.
It is fun to have this kind of sound on an ipad.

### 5/5 — Artic

*2013-10-05, version 1.0.0*

Bluffant!!!

### 5/5 — Hit

*2013-10-02, version 1.0.0*

iOS synths are hit or miss and this one looks and sounds great!

### 4/5 — Major improvement over Arctic Keys

*2013-09-30, version 1.0.0*

This is a step in the right direction! All the shortcomings and, IMHO, goofiness of Arctic Keys seems to be addressed. These shortcomings kept me away from that apps and I felt it unfortunate because I thought the synth had mega potential. Well, this is what I have always thought it could have been! Great crisp interface...with legible, BIG, graphic interface that one doesn't have to squint at! Gone are the superfluous graphic special effects...you know, that faux rack thing. All the levels per preset are, well, level with one another. I am glad to have spent the $10 on this! I saw this right away, had a short debate in my head as to the pressing need for yet another subtractive synth in my iPad arsenal...and comparing with my gripes over the Arctic Keys issues I had, and decided to go for it...I am really glad I did! Thank you One Red Dog

### 5/5 — Gob-smacked!!

*2013-09-30, version 1.0.0*

I take great pleasure in writing this review because this synth sounds brilliant and is so playable. It is really well thought out and everything seems so intuitive but more importantly the range and depth of sounds it produces are amazing. This has been a long time in the making for One Red Dog Media but WOW.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Another 10 dollar sucker

*2019-04-07, version 1.7.0*

Well I should have read the reviews before hit buy on this one.
It crashes if the cable is attached, can’t change preset patches and it appears that the knobs don’t actually do anything.

### 1/5 — Quits when I try to open it on my iPad Pro

*2018-06-20, version 1.7.0*

I’ve tried emailing support but they don’t respond. Be careful before you buy this as you may get ripped off as well.

### 1/5 — 10$ donation

*2017-02-16, version 1.6.0*

I don't typically leave reviews. But I just drop 10 bucks on this application. And it literally will not open. I bought it based on everyone else's reviews. It must be this update or something? Buyer beware

### 1/5 — Sounds Cheap

*2014-05-01*

Like the price, not worth the money.

### 1/5 — Meh...Overpriced and buggy.

*2013-10-06*

Not really impressed, just like their other synth (Arctic Keys) but with a vocoder feature.

Over priced as it is buggy (as is Arctic Keys). The sound sometimes just drops out completely and you need to restart the app. This happens intermittently and unexpectedly.

Will adjust my rating when they adjust their app.

### 2/5 — No bluetooth headset?

*2014-04-04, version 1.1.1*

Ne prend pas en charge le casque bluetooth.

D'après le développeur (qui répond aux mails), ceci est dû à l'IAA qui empêche les équipements bluetooth de fonctionner.
Pourtant d'autres développeurs y sont parvenus......

### 2/5 — Es gibt so tolle Synthesizer-Apps...

*2013-10-01, version 1.0.0*

dieser gehört leider nicht dazu. Und das bei dem Preis!

### 3/5 — Nothing to write home about...

*2017-11-03, version 1.6.0*

(Yawn) Doesn't seem to have an output for audio to Bluetooth... $5 would been a more appropriate price in my opinion... Oh well, Caveat emptor! ✌🏻️😎🎹

### 4/5 — Arctic Keys is good, too.

*2016-11-07, version 1.5.2*

Too bad the developer decided to remove it from the App Store. This Pro version does more, but the first one is easier to navigate and can quickly get modifications done. This Pro vers requires flipping through pages to modify parameters more than the Key vers does.

### 4/5 — Fat sound weird sequencer

*2015-07-12, version 1.5.1*

So fat and yet the sequencer is ummm ,peace Christo

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — My go to iOS synth

*2024-12-03, version 1.7.2*

My most powerful sounding iOS synth.

### 5/5 — This Developer is not from the present, He’s John Titor from the year 5400 AD

*2024-08-06, version 1.7.2*

Let me tell you something interesting, This guy is John Titor,

Travelled through time from 5400 AD, the sound of this synth is the absolute proof of the fact!

Those who’ve watched “Steins Gate” would definitely know,

Oh my, oh my, how did this synth is not being talked discussed or even mentioned.

So everyone is about pop culture. Doesn’t matter, the time for this synth , is yet to come. Yes, the revolutiona has just begun.

And John Titor, welcome, as long as you’re here, please give us a few of these gems, we’re truly grateful and honoured to have Arctic Pro.

We do not call this a synth,

We, refer to this creation of yours as the “Supreme form of Art and Aesthetics “

Thank you so very much ,

It’s been an absolute pleasure and honour to get to know you.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

WE LOVE YOU!🥰

### 5/5 — A blast!

*2015-02-16, version 1.4.0*

This thing is so much fun I almost forgot to write a review. With presets from Sunshine Audio,
this thing is a blast. It is one of my favorite synthesizers.cutting this shot to get back to the music. Try it you will love it too.

### 5/5 — Super sons

*2014-12-07, version 1.4.0*

Beaucoup de bons sons !!! Tout fonctionne parfaitement!!!!!!!

### 5/5 — Outstanding Synth. Perfect Midi.

*2014-10-28, version 1.3.1*

Great sounds and very fast and intuitive control over filters and every other sound parameter with midi learn makes this a joy to use. ProSynth's IAA implementation is excellent, the midi implementation is complete and it manages CPU resources beautifully for such a rich-sounding synth. In a niche market saturated with synths this one stands out. 5 stars easily.

### 5/5 — An excellent update. It doesn't freeze anymore and is making XL FAT sounds!

*2014-07-16, version 1.2.0*

EXCELLENT update! Hmm Arctic Pro Synth makes some really well executed, unique sounds, possibly even better sounding than one of my favorite synths the Z3ta+. I particularly like the tastefully done panning of sounds on some of the presets. That deserves extra praise. The soundest is also very diverse from wobbling to classic sounds. All quite useful sounding. I'm going to try olaying some of my already produced tracks again with arctic prosynth. And then try to make a new one. Thank you.

### 5/5 — This is..

*2014-05-04, version 1.1.1*

.. A great sounding synth!

### 5/5 — Solid entry into crowded synth app market

*2014-04-13, version 1.1.1*

Arctic ProSynth is the new synth app from One Red Dog, replacing Arctic Keys, which is a universal app now selling for half the price. Arctic ProSynth is iPad only, but it's a reasonable file size and runs well on my older iPad2.

There is a lot to like about ProSynth, and I may come to like it more as I use it. The preset banks include well over 100 sounds, and it may be one of my favorite default preset offerings of the various synths. That said, I wish there were a few more banks for download, and there isn't a ton of 3rd party content yet. Of course, you can modify and create your own, and there are TONS of ways to modify your sound. The sounds are warm and dynamic, and I find the keyboard and interface generally attractive and easy to use.

The app also has great compatibility with AudioBus and Virtual MIDI, though with an on-board arppegiator and basic sequencer, you can do a lot without other apps. Really, it's a fantastic synth app, and my excitement for it is tempered only by the fact that Sunrizer and Magellan do most of the same things, and occasionally do them better. But for under the 10 dollar mark, you could certainly justify adding this one to your collection. Well done on a nice app, and hope they continue to support it as time goes on.

### 5/5 — Awesome Sound....

*2013-12-23, version 1.1.1*

A no brainer for synth fans :)

### 5/5 — Happy Camper Now

*2013-12-07, version 1.1.0*

With the intergration of IAA, and the click on some sounds fixed, I am very happy to give Arctic Prosynth 5 stars. The Dev (Peter) went out of his way to visit or ipad musician FB group, to get feedback on fixing the issue. Great customer support is more than half the battle. It tells that a Dev is committed to his product. So, just get it. It's a great synth with awesome features and sound.
