You can use the Ubuntu Gnome Desktop with a near native feel on your iPad, iPhone, or Mac it’s pretty sweet! I hope this will be updated to work with Ubuntu 26 that just released I haven’t tried it yet so not sure if this app works with 26 or not!

I give this 5 stars for the smooth Ubuntu RDP support alone & because I appreciate the Open Source nature of this app. 

I only have a minor gripe about the UI: I feel like it’s too easy to delete a RDP Connection configuration like when you press & hold down on a Connection you get two options that pop up either “Edit” or “Delete” and you can easily accidentally press Delete and there’s no confirmation screen or warning saying like “Are you sure you want to delete this Connection?” Instead it just deletes the connection instantly with no warning. Please add some kind of confirmation step so it is harder for us users to accidentally delete our Connections! Would also like to see iCloud sync for our RDP Connection configs too 😛

**Developer response:** There is Export functionality already so you can backup your connections and copy them to iCloud. Find it in the main menu.

Please confirm if this does the trick for you.

I think if I introduce an additional guardrail to prevent deletion, other people will be unhappy with the experience because of the additional slow-down. I figured if connections are that important, Export as a backup mechanism would help.

copy paste with standard keyboard Doesn't work. works fine  otherwise. show stopper for me. for this reason unfortunately cannot recommended.

**Developer response:** EDIT: The app supports copy/paste integration. You may have been hoping to copy in Windows with Cmd-c, something that will not work on windows. Either right-click and select Copy or find out the right combination of keys for the application you are using. It's usually Ctrl-c, sometimes it's Ctrl-Shift-c, could be something else.

### 5/5 — Finally! Something that works with Ubuntu 24!

After spending half a day downloading every screen-sharing app I could find (many that I had to pay for), I finally found one that would work with Ubuntu 24.04 Desktop Sharing! It will both connect/authenticate (only one other app would even do that), and it displays the desktop screen without any glitches (the other app that could connect was unusably distorted and would only control the top left of the screen). Judging from this app's changelog, Ubuntu compatibility might have been a pretty recent addition? In any case, it is one I am very grateful for!

Very basic and simple UI but does the job. The Microsoft RDP app that I was using does not work with the iPad for whatever reason so had to find an alternative to connect to my Fedora workstation. I hope they keep working on it. There is a bug i noticed right away, the session is closed when the app is minimised and you have to log back in.. pity.

**Developer response:** Hey, Thanks for your feedback, could you kindly get in touch by email at support _at_ morpheusly _dot_ com so I can better understand what you mean about the app being minimized. For the record, this is not a bug - it's intended to function this way, because iPhones and iPads do not let apps run in the background in order to preserve your battery, and within a very short time would initiate the app's closure anyway. As a result, the app disconnects automatically on being minimized and reconnects upon being maximized.

Das Programm ist eine Zumutung. Entwicklungsstand vor 20 Jahren. Eine Frechheit dafür mehr als 1€ zu verlangen. Ich habe das Programm in der Not gekauft, da nach dem update auf Mac OS 15, Microsoft Remote Desktop keine Verbindungen per FQDN durchführt, nur noch per IP. 
Folgendes Mängel habe ich festgestellt.
- Anzeigeeinstellungen: Kein Zoom, Keine Auflösung einstellbar.
- Es lässt sich nur eine Session öffnen
- Gespeicherte Voreinstellungen werden nicht bei neuen Verbindungen übernommen
- Keine Listendarstellung der Verbindungen.

Ich möchte mein Geld zurück!!!

In this age of migrating from one architecture to another, I have to support both, and the only realistic way to do so is to have x86 support which unfortunately occasionally results in this kind of issue.
