## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2025-03-03*

Timers frequently will stop after like .4 seconds into a sprint. And yes I’ve changed the batteries, have had my iPad right near the start gates etc. it’s just a glitchy piece of equipment. I wish I bought a brower timer instead of these. I’ve had too many wasted sprints and wasted energy dealing with this.

### 2/5 — Arena gear app

*2025-10-18*

Timers work ok most the time, but the app is not user friendly. A tutorial video would be helpful.

### 3/5 — Frustrating iOS version

*2021-09-26*

I used the Android version of this app with no problems, it was perfect. But when I got a new iPhone and downloaded the iOS version, the “reset” button was gone! Now it only counts the time between events without counting the events, unless someone walks out there and triggers it for me.

I have to use someone else’s Android phone. They both connect to the lights the same, but only the Android version has the reset button.

**Developer response:** The new App version is a bit different; it solves the problem of selecting a timer when you have multiple RM-510 timing stations in the field. Some teams have two, three, or up to five test stations in use at the same time. The old app relied on proximity to the start gate, and that caused much confusion.
To select a particular timer, click on the Select button. That selects a test station and shows you the detailed participants and results.
The reset button shows up only if your phone is authorized to reset the time, so I assume the passcode was changed on the timer and only the Android phone has the new passcode. To set the passcode on your iPhone go to the settings screen, the app will ask you for the new passcode.

### 5/5 — Love my Arena Gear Timer

App has been great! I use timing with all my athletes and this device has been reliable. Love the vertical jump upgrade

### 5/5 — Timers and Customer Service

*2025-09-12*

I purchased my second RM-510 Bundle 2-gate timer system. I use them for slow speed, confined space motorcycle exercises. The ArenaGear systems are high quality, very accurate, and extremely easy to use!!! I especially like the ability to share the app with others I’m training with so they can view times on their smartphones. I give ArenaGear equipment and their customer service a 10/10!

### 5/5 — Great app for high school speed!

*2024-10-19*

I’m a S&C/track coach at a high school. We use this timing system as a way to motivate kids to run faster and keep track of progress. Best bang for your buck timing system we’ve found. My favorite thing about the app is being able to create groups for different teams or classes, where instead of having to write everything down, I can just click on the runner in the group I’m testing and I can easily archive the results at the end. This saves me time while running a session and after the session with data collection. I believe using this tool is a major reason we have developed one of the best sprinters in our state, who finished 3rd at state in the 100. We use them most weeks during the year (every week during track season). We’ve timed 40s, fly 10s, fly 30s, block starts, 100s, 200s, primetimes, and it’s been such a big motivation for our athletes. Can’t recommend ArenaGear enough!

### 5/5 — So far so good
