Abhilfe gibt es nur über den anschließenden Umweg, dieses Feature in der „Fotos“-App nachträglich bei jedem Foto abzuschalten. BITTE ENDLICH KORRIGIEREN!! ### 4/5 — Simply beautiful b/w *2025-11-18, version 3.6.4* The interface is simple and nice, not clutter at all like some competitors. Even though I have acquired other b/w apps over the years, I always come back to this one because of its beautiful tone and filters. Not to mention great customer support, two thumbs up. ### 4/5 — Fantastic overall *2025-11-01, version 3.6* I can’t say enough good things about this app. The developer nailed the tonal range emulation. My big wish however, is for intermediate cropping lenses like Pro Camera has. This app at the very least needs a 1.5X “lens” cropped out of the full resolution image and then scaled to 12 MP just like the 2X lens. Minor wish is for a 4:5 aspect ratio also, but that’s easier to crop after the fact so no biggie. ### 2/5 — No support for iPhone 17pro *2025-10-21, version 3.5.7* At first sight a lovely and decent app - but in use on iPhone17 pro many features are buggy or lacking: 8x zoom doesn‘t work, Portrait via front camera only shows an upside down pic and flickering of the background in front of the main camera, as long as not adapted to new iOS and phones a rather useless app - really a pity 😢 ### 2/5 — doesn't work without sub *2025-03-11, version 3.5.6* this used to work wonderfully, but it has been updated to not work at all without subscription. i've since uninstalled it as I will never do subscription. purchase, yes, but never a sub. best of luck. ### 4/5 — Brilliant *2025-02-07, version 3.5.6* I’ve just reconnected with app and I’m wondering why I let it lapse! Been out on a photoshoot this morning and I’m thrilled with the results using the Ansel Adam’s filter. The has a simple yet iconic UI that makes it great for the novice as well as the old hand! ### 3/5 — Good at heart *2025-02-04* Was enjoyable to use, but sorry not going to subscribe now at this price point. Not when you can do your own post processing in other software with maybe a little bit more time investment. No warning on the update and now it’s a paid app. The AA filter was free but now nothing is. So frustrating. Another monthly charge or $39.99 for a “lifetime” purchase. ### 1/5 — Can’t buy individual filter? *2024-09-16, version 3.4.5* I like this app, and would be happy to buy the only filter I am interested, ‘Ansel’ but I can see no way to buy an individual filter, and I am not prepared to spend £20 to get one filter. I used only 1 filter. However on trying to use it a few days ago the app is now asking me to pay a monthly subscription or one off payment. I would NOT recommend this app as when they change the payment options your previous purchases will become void. Unethical practices. I loved how the Ansell Adams filter crushed blacks and made the contrast tasty. But I just opened it after over a month of not using it and my “free filter” has been put behind a paywall. I promoted your app to lots of customers and now I feel betrayed. ### 1/5 — Nicht für das Geld! *2025-01-06, version 3.5.3* Ja, ich mag den Ansel Adams Filter und finde es schade, dass ich diese App wohl künftig nicht mehr verwenden werde. Very sharp, detailed images in true 48MP tiff files, retaining all of the image data. ### 5/5 — Bug following most recent Upload from Apple Store… *2025-11-16* This is a good, and getting better, b/w app which I use on my iPad Pro. However, followingbthe most recent upload, the camera has gone a little crazy. Unless one is in Portrait mode, the frame splits up with a jittery image on the screen behind what one has framed! It’s really confusing with the flickering and blurred scene visible top & bottom of the screen. It’s a fantastic app. Takes stunning black-and-white. Everything is where it is supposed to be on this camera. It is an exercise and simplicity, but the results are phenomenal. ### 5/5 — Best b & w app ever *2025-07-28* It makes such a difference to see what you’re getting in black and white as you take the picture, and the simplicity of the camera makes it a pleasure to use. The filters are fabulous. I especially love the aa for photographing light and shadow, and the double exposure. And the team is responsive if there’s an issue with downloading. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Great for B&W devotees! *2025-04-13* This is a great app, one I use often — highly recommended! My own photography started with B&W film, very often with a red filter (same as isolating the red channel in Photoshop), so I am used to a dramatic, contrasty effect. I use this app’s “AA” (Ansel Adams) filter which is considerably more sophisticated and dramatic than my simple red filtering. If you like contrasty or noire or Ansel Adams style photos, you should get this app. ### 5/5 — Quality & Service *2025-03-03, version 3.5.6* I love the Ansel Adams filter and rarely have to fine tune the results. Also, Igor and the staff are highly accessible and helpful! ### 5/5 — Love it! *2025-01-05, version 3.5.2* The AA (Ansel Adams) filter is great for landscapes and cityscapes - often more dramatic and interesting than the equivalent colour photo. For people pictures the other filters are probably good to explore. The developer has been very responsive and fixed some issues amazingly quickly when raised. It would be perfect if the results could match my iPhone resolution (8064x6048 heic for the main camera) so the Argentum photos could look great viewed large. And a slider to control the filter strength would be great. Demanding, moi? ### 5/5 — A B&W fave *2025-01-05* I have a lot of camera apps, but Argentum is on my front page. It can function as a sophisticated point-and-shoot—especially so in Street Mode. But all sorts of extra control is a stroke or two away, when you want it. This isn’t the only double exposure in town for iPhones. But, compared say with the justifiably popular Hipstamatic, Argentum gives you so much more artistic control over the two exposures. The approximations of the look of seven master photographers are pretty good. Educational, too. They aren’t after-the-fact filters; they’re on-screen WYSIWYG as you set up the shot. But don’t stop at punching in the AA or DL button; get online and familiarize yourself with the range of these exemplary photographers’ work. With Argentum, it’s thrilling to get closer to their widely ranging aesthetics of B&W. ### 5/5 — Used to be. *2025-01-04* When I first got Argentum you could use the AA filter for free. Now all the filters are locked and if you want to use any, you must buy into some level of subscription. Argentum used to be my favorite black and white app. Now I have to give it up. I need to update my review. I have been in contact with the developers and we have come to an agreement on a way forward. I very much appreciate their attention and efforts.
