### 1/5 — If you like Productivity, You’ll Hate this App

*2023-12-04, version 4.5.1*

Sync, storage, updates, and interface are necessary but when it comes to this waste of space. You're better off finding another vendor.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2023-11-12, version 4.5.1*

Works 10% of the times and when it does it takes several minutes to update… terribly useless for pilots

### 1/5 — Why

*2022-10-31, version 4.3*

People live in space but I can’t see my calendar unless I let it load for 30 minutes. Do better

### 1/5 — Battery drain

*2022-10-26, version 4.3*

I have anxiety when I have to check my schedule on this app. Anytime you check it, the app completely updates, which takes anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes as the phone warms up. There is no quick check without a complete re-sync of all data. Incredibly slow, cumbersome and painful to use.

### 1/5 — 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

*2022-08-24, version 4.3*

Please upgrade this hunk of junk to include a background refresh feature!

### 1/5 — This was a major step backwards…

*2022-08-16, version 4.3*

This updated app is a major step backwards from the original FOS Mobile app. Imagine a calendar that you have to reference numerous times a week for nearly everything work related…now imagine that this calendar was a puzzle, and you have multiple items that require you to consistently open and close options simply to see what you have done/logged, or what you are scheduled to do. It quickly becomes unusable as a quick reference tool. Why did you keep the calendar view from the original app? I love Collins avionics, the ARINC services, the ARINC-direct app…but this was a poor decision on someone’s part in the new organization.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2021-01-30, version 3.8.2*

The app has gone so far downhill in the last few weeks/months I hope that our company just switches to anything else soon. Works maybe 1% of the time if you have hours to keep trying to refresh everything and even then good luck trying to get all the information you need. Youd think maybe they would try to fix anything but it has only gotten worse more recently.

### 1/5 — Almost useless

*2020-12-04, version 3.8.2*

Fails to sync on three of four attempts. Even when it does sync, it fails to download all trip data. Used to be reliable, but for about three months now, has been a nightmare.

### 1/5 — Needs to fix bugs

*2019-12-02, version 3.6.4*

Erases times randomly when inputted so you have to input times multiple times. When you submit it says submitted then goes to logged and replaced times with other numbers not inputted. You have to submit your times multiple times before they finally show submitted. Even then it will give you block time errors or replace your inputted information.

### 1/5 — Not Ready for Prime Time!

*2019-11-07, version 3.6.4*

I agree with the other reviewers that old FOS Mobile was much more intuitive and had far fewer issues. If Rockwell Collins hadn’t stopped supporting it, I would immediately uninstall the new version and replace it with the older one. I just can’t understand why Rockwell Collins felt compelled to completely rework a useful app just to add some “eye candy.” Adding my voice to everyone else’s: Bring Back Old FOS!

### 1/5 — Ugh no the best app

*2019-09-05, version 3.6.2*

Always an “issue while syncing”

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2019-06-20, version 3.6*

This app constantly sends me the message “Issue while syncing FOS calendar the request timed out”. It’s so bad that I can’t get my work done and if it was up to me our company would cut ties with Airinc all together because of this program.

### 1/5 — THE WORST

*2018-12-19, version 3.5.1*

Bring back old FOS

### 1/5 — WHY!😡

*2018-10-02, version 3.5*

I’ve tried for months to make the switch. I REALLY REALLY TRIED. Our fleet has experienced so much pushback by our pilots, most have abandoned it for using the old version until it disappears. Old FOS was great. It looked cohesive and orderly.

Fine. You need to make adjustments. Why is new FOS such a completely reworked app? It is so totally different it’s hard to look at. And that’s the best part...
1) Everything is centered (hard on the eyes)
2) There are 2 lines for a 1 leg trip. (Takes longer to figure out what we are looking at. It all looks the same!!!)
3) can’t delete a receipt entered on the wrong line. (We have to bother accounting to do so)
4) going from leg details back to the main schedule screen, it “JUMPS” and you lose track of where you were.
5) given a trip to a 4 letter identifier, old FOS would have the name and place of the location. New FOS doesn’t that I can find.
6) for no apparent reason, some of my tail numbers have multiplied on the schedule.

I legitimately can’t think of ANYTHING that is an improvement for a pilot. It’s like a CPA or engineer with ZERO input from the field wanted to start from scratch. Listen to the crowd and adjust the product!

### 1/5 — Nonstop headaches

*2018-07-07, version 3.4.4*

Always inaccurate... never reliable... no support to resolve issues.

### 1/5 — App needs to be fixed

*2018-06-27, version 3.4.4*

The old app was much better

### 1/5 — Behind the times...

*2018-06-14, version 3.4.3*

"I would not recommend using FOS Mobile in airplane mode with a wifi connection."....FOS tech support. Really? Whoever said it should be called DOS was being nice.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible system

*2025-06-26, version 4.8*

Is takes forever to synch, it's hard to use, has a lot of bugs, doesn't have an option to truly work offline and than synch what you did when you have internet. I miss jet insight so bad!

### 1/5 — Unusable app, constantly crashing.

*2025-06-20, version 4.8*

This app crashes frequently and is highly unstable. I’ve tried reinstalling it, updating my device, and other basic troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. As a pilot who depends on this for scheduling, it’s incredibly frustrating.

### 1/5 — Constant Crashing – Unusable

*2025-06-20, version 4.8*

This app crashes every single time I try to open it. I’ve tried reinstalling, restarting my phone, and updating everything, but nothing works. Completely unusable in its current state. Please fix this ASAP — it’s essential for work and this is unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Just dead

*2025-06-18, version 4.8*

Worked somewhat okay for months and then suddenly died. Impossible to log in. Impossible to change the server address. Can’t even run open the demo. The app is just dead as a dodo.

### 1/5 — Crashes steady

*2025-06-07, version 4.7.1*

App since iOS 18.5 crashes consistently

### 1/5 — Slow and I mean slow

*2025-03-28, version 4.7.1*

Syncing can take 5-10 minutes and stops if you go to another app. That’s if it doesn’t crash. Terrible. I would be embarrassed to have written this app.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-02-20, version 4.7.1*

Horrible app. never works.

### 1/5 — Improve the app

*2025-02-04, version 4.7.1*

One of the worst apps on planet earth!

### 1/5 — Issues Syncing

*2025-01-25, version 4.7.1*

The app constantly crashes while syncing. It also takes a very long time to sync. There should be an option to automatically download docs for my trips and to automatically update airport data. The developer is well aware that there are issues with this app, but they do absolutely nothing to fix them.

### 1/5 — Slow

*2024-11-30, version 4.7*

Sync takes forever and drains battery, something as simple as a schedule shouldn’t take this long to load. I also get Sync errors almost every time I open the app.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Great App

*2018-05-12, version 3.4.1*

Rockwell Collins has gone to great lengths to continuously improve this app. The latest version allows all crew on a trip see the submitted pre-flight and post-flight information. For those that don’t like the calendar view, I recommend adjusting your filters to see only the information you want. Having access to documents from my phone or iPad is invaluable.
My only complaint and the reason I only gave the app four stars was the non-functional airport database. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
Would like to see an interface to Crew Alert.

### 3/5 — Better...

*2018-07-12, version 3.4.4*

It’s improved since the update, but it’s still sluggish at times when saving pre & post flight data.

### 2/5 — Makes my PeePee sad

*2024-07-14, version 4.6*

Honestly, refresh times in app take awhile, every few months you have to uninstall and reinstall the app so it doesn’t take 10 minutes to refresh.

### 2/5 — Logging out 4 times per day

*2019-11-10, version 3.6.4*

Seriously, FOS has the capability to doing some amazing things BUT its usefulness is exceeded by its design flaws. Why am required to resubmit reports multiple times? Why am I required to log in (up to 4 times in a 24 hour period) to check my schedule? In recent weeks, I have spent more time troubleshooting; deleting and reinstalling this app, attempting to make sure I am running the most current version and logging back in and making corrections, than I do any other function. When I have to renter my credentials multiple times in a day just to log in and check my schedule, the program then fails to become a resource and becomes more or less an unreliable “annoyance.”

### 2/5 — Not ready

*2016-11-04, version 3.0.1*

You cannot get airport information on the iPhone. The app is more optimized for the iPad but still not ready. You cannot filter airport searches (water aerodromes are not useful to land based aircraft), and weather information is sporadic.
