### 1/5 — Nunca Mas

*2026-01-28, version 1.9.6*

Jesus Christ. This is genuinely the worst device I have ever used - randomly brake checks you all the time, after 5 mins decided not to let me go faster than 5km/h, meaning it cost about double what it should have because I had to inch over to a parking spot. I despise whoever created this. I am expecting a full refund. You man are actually morons I cannot believe you would release this to the public. I have never been brought so close to hate speech. This company is up there with Stalin Pol Pot and King Leopold for damage to the people. To think I’m usually calm and rasta as well. Over and out.

### 1/5 — Limited working bikes.

*2026-01-19*

Potts point. Always hard to find a bike that has battery and two peddles. Minimum requirement for an e-bike. Bought a month plan. On average it takes 5 bikes and more than 10 mins before finding one that works.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother. You’ll get ripped off.

*2026-01-07*

App was clunky and bikes are either running out of battery or broken. Or both. Whole experience is dodgy and you will pay and then have no access to bikes because they’re all out of action or get on one and it fails. You also can’t park it and then it won’t let you and the trip. Total rip off and goes slow in built up areas.

### 1/5 — Overcharged

*2025-12-22, version 1.9.6*

Overcharged by $50 for a 3 minute ride, no clear instructions don't use

### 1/5 — Extremely overpriced

*2025-12-16, version 1.9.6*

Way too expensive. Read fine print first

### 1/5 — Let me end my ride please!!

*2025-11-18*

Everything was going well until I reached my destination, the Oprah house in Sydney, only to find I couldn’t end my ride in this service area. I genuinely had to back track over 1km before I could end my ride. So I arrived at my destination, and wasn’t allowed to stay there or anywhere close to there so had to pay to ride back the way I came!! Then walk back down! Insane I walked back past other E bikes too that were allowed to be stationed closer

### 1/5 — 15 dollars for not being in a parking area

*2025-11-17, version 1.9.6*

They wouldn’t even go half the time, had to walk them to the parking zone, they’re very uncomfortable compared to a 2 wheeled scooter,

### 1/5 — This app is a scam guys

*2025-11-05*

Keep in mind if you guys were to use these ario bikes you’re likely gonna get the message saying you can’t park here when you try to stop your ride, and you’re likely to get the message - of out of service area this is their way of extending the time so they be can keep you until you find a place space which can be close or far so they will charge you more than your means, I don’t think this is legal either to have to spend more makes ti find parking.

### 1/5 — Deeply frustrating experience

*2025-11-03*

Saw one of these bikes and I was in a hurry to get somewhere. Thought I’d give it a try. Rode to my destination only for the app to say I couldn’t end the ride as I was out of the service area. The app never gave any indication I was leaving the area. I checked the map and it was not showing a service area zone. So I had to back track, trying to end the ride at random intervals until finally I was randomly back in the service zone. Absolutely wasted more time than I was worth. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-10-31, version 1.9.6*

Atrocious quality every single one I tried didn’t work. Ended up making me pay for them even though they were stuck. Would give a 0/5 but lowest is a 1/5

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-10-28, version 1.9.6*

So i pay 40 dollars to ride a few blocks because the stop suddenly wasn’t legal. An uber would have saved me 30 dollars

### 1/5 — What a waste of time!

*2025-10-25, version 1.9.6*

The thing beeps as you heaps, no idea what
It’s saying, got to destinations and it made us ride it back under no power, then wouldn’t let us park. Cost a fortune too- dumb move!

### 1/5 — So bad it could be a scam.

*2025-10-24, version 1.9.6*

Where beam scooters used to roam, now stands these paper weights.

I attempted to ride over 10+ scooters and all were either malfunctioning or claiming that the helmet wasn’t available (even though the helmet was affixed and ready).

When I did eventually find a scooter that was actually ready to go… wait for it…. The go button was as effective as a fork to a bowl of soup.

Do better.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2025-10-16, version 1.9.6*

No upfront cost calculator. No where it says how much per hour or kilometres. Scammer

### 1/5 — Don’t do it. Stops operating without a reason.

*2025-10-11, version 1.9.6*

Take an uber :D

### 1/5 — Unethical practices

*2025-10-06, version 1.9.6*

The Ario app is an absolute mess and designed to confuse. They also don’t refund purchases which are made in error which is highly unethical. It’s easy to mistakenly purchase minutes. Won’t use these bikes again.

### 2/5 — Not comfortable

*2025-10-03, version 1.9.6*

Love the concept. But unfortunately for me (180cm) the position of the handlebars feels unstable/unsafe. Gone back to Lime.

### 1/5 — leaving 1 star coz i can’t leave 0

*2025-09-27, version 1.9.6*

these are the worst scooters i have used in my life, i wouldn’t recommend these to my worst enemy, u can put the helmet on 10 times over and these scooters will still refuse to work because ‘you don’t have the helmet on’

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-05*

The scooter never works, I tried like 4 or 5 that were parked full load in one place and none worked for me, ah but the app is already starting to charge you even before putting on your helmet, not to mention that it brakes only in parts Randoms, and I keep charging you the same, at least stop charging or reduce the rate if you're not stealing from me. I do not recommend it is practically a scam.

### 1/5 — The scooters do not work

*2026-07-15*

Followed the ‘instructions’ (two people experienced in using similar) and they simply do not start. Was charged upfront for a half hour usage and they started charging while the scooter takes you through the instructions . Literally no movement. Customer service very hard to navigate and no response. Will contact credit card provider. Worst hire experienced while travelling the world! Do not hire save yourself the time and cash.

### 1/5 — ARIO E Scooter Hire

*2026-07-03*

Worst electric scooter I have ever ridden and ripped me off trying to get extra payments out of me. The scooters don’t even ride half of the time and stop. Also very difficult to ride as well. Definitely do not recommend don’t go near the thing. I can see how it has poor reviews, sums it up completely. Can’t reiterate it enough to not use it

### 1/5 — Do not use

*2026-06-05, version 1.9.7*

I never make reviews, but I’m gonna do one for this one. This bike is useless. Wrote it all the way to an area just to find out it’s out of the placement area which is tiny had to ride all the way back.

### 1/5 — Do not ever use this app

*2026-05-18, version 1.9.7*

This app
did not let me end my ride and charged me a bunch of money. these bikes suck and they make it impossible to get your money back.

### 1/5 — Error and still charged me

*2026-04-23, version 1.9.7*

I didn’t even get on the bike Error and still charged me

### 1/5 — Total waste of money

*2026-04-03, version 1.9.7*

Too slow. Too few designated parking sites. Don’t waste your money. Just walk.

### 1/5 — You can only ride in service area

*2026-03-04*

Bucketing down rain riding home over the harbour bridge. About a third of the way along the bridge in the pouring rain the bike loses all power and says no battery.

Keep on riding with no power as we want to get to the other side and end the ride. Try to end the ride on the other side, “cannot end the ride, you’re out of the service area”. Turns out the service area is a small section of the CBD. Had to ride all the way back over the bridge with no power on the bike in the pouring ride. Finally end up back in the service area. $31 later I end up just having to get the train home. Also tried calling support and the number doesn’t work, classic.

Easy fix, the bike should give a few warnings (visual and auditory) when you leave the service area.

Only plus is that these bikes come with a helmet which was the only reason we chose them. Negative points for the service area.

Refund me and I’ll up it to 2 stars haha.

### 1/5 — Absolute waste of time and money

*2026-02-05*

I thought taking a quick ride would be fun. I road to the closet bus stop where other ario bikes were but when I tried to disembark it would not let me. I finally frustrated rod straight back to the place I found. It

### 1/5 — So bad

*2026-02-03, version 1.9.6*

Shocking. Does not work terrible

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-06-19*

Great way to get around would recommend buying the Ario pass to save more money!

### 5/5 — Top tier

*2025-06-12, version 1.7.4*

If you can’t ride the scooter, try again, worth it

### 5/5 — Best scooter

*2025-02-25, version 1.7.0*

100% these scooters are superior to all other scooters.

### 5/5 — Fabulous

*2025-02-19*

Tried it and loved it. Smoother ride, more stable, better experience.

### 5/5 — Nice scooter

*2025-02-19, version 1.7.0*

Really safe and stable! Three wheels scooter looks way cooler!!

### 5/5 — Super cool three wheel scooters

*2024-12-27*

Hired two Ario scooters in Townsville this week while on holiday. A ton of fun. Felt safe, good speed and the three wheels is different but actually a much more comfortable ride.

### 5/5 — Nice escooter

*2024-08-22, version 1.2.4*

I mainly use Ario scooters as a last mile transport to get home from the train station. The scooters are very stable and fun to ride.

### 4/5 — Some good pros

*2025-09-04*

It’s well priced. Lots around and the helmet release mechanism is much better than other share bikes. It is good that it tells you through audio when entering and exiting a no parking area. Would be great to integrate that in with google maps. Steering is odd compared to standard bikes but I got used to it. The gear ratio could be tightened. Once up to speed there’s no peddle resistance.

### 4/5 — So much better than Lime.

*2025-02-02*

Ride e-bikes 3-4 times daily. Prefer Ario. Pass packages are good, bikes and helmets are excellent. Love how fast and manoeuvrable they are. Wish for group rides but I’m sure they’re coming.

### 2/5 — no clear instructions

*2025-11-06*

a bit disappointed to our experience on these e scooters when we really needed them to get home. There was no clear instructions in the app to how we will be charged or where we could park them when done. We went up to a bunch of these scooters (about 7) all standing in a group. After scanning the app says this scooter is not available as it doesn’t have a working helmet, but I could see the helmet and it was working. So couldn’t use that scooter. All the scooters except 1 was working. So I tried the only working one, but couldn’t get it to work as the app’s menu was too complicated and said there would be penalties or fines if parking in the wrong location and no mention of what the fine or penalties would be. none the less, we left without being able to start the scooter disappointed
