### 4/5 — Hope it’s still supported

*2023-01-31, version 3.1*

Needs work and the last update was 5 yrs ago, but love it and hope it is maintained! The screen after identifying blocker lets you share the task and set a reward, but if you share it, you can’t return to set the reward, for instance. Also the text in the input field is hard to read as it’s too light. Please fix! 🤞

### 4/5 — Love it! .... so far

*2020-05-07, version 3.1*

I just started using this app, yesterday. I’ve looked at/tried many apps that I think would be helpful. I definitely have ADHD and some anxiety. I struggle with perfectionism. Working from home has been difficult for me, because I need routine and accountability. Also, I tend to put things off due to “all or nothing” thinking. This app targets the underlying causes of procrastination... the payoff. I’m giving 4 stars because there seems to be a “glitch” when I attempt to message someone for accountability. It froze on me, a few times, and I had to close the app and start over.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2019-07-24, version 3.1*

I truly like this app in that it allows you to process what is happening related to your procrastination. I only wish it would allow you to look back at the demons you’ve conquered and their associated entries and dilemmas, like an archived journal to see your own progress. Other than this I am so grateful to this app and am excited to see how it will continue to help me to stay on track and not get bogged down by so much anxiety!

### 4/5 — Feeling Overwhelmed? This helps me get going...

*2019-06-30, version 3.1*

I love that I can just start somewhere, anywhere. The first timer is 5 minutes so I pick something small and feel accomplished right away. Then I just keep choosing other small chunks and take the built in break times.

The reason for taking away 1 Star is because an audible feature when the break or work time is up would take it to the next level.

### 4/5 — Not a lot of reuse

*2018-02-02, version 3.1*

The different monsters are helpful at naming the different psychological blocks on procrastination. I was excited by that. I was disappointed to discover that the result of selecting each unique monster is essentially the same. If the author updates this app I might re-download it and adjust my review.

### 5/5 — This cool

*2017-05-25, version 3.1*

This cool

### 5/5 — Pure gold!!!!!!

*2017-05-25, version 3.1*

The best $3 investment in my whole life. Time is money huh? The ROI of this tiny widget is just astonishing. The desciption of the tiny demons are incredibly accurate and the names are hilarious 😂❤️😄

### 5/5 — One of the few apps I use every day

*2017-05-24, version 3.1*

Make no mistake, this is not a GTD app - yet it gets me get things done. How? The brilliant idea of using demon metaphores to help us face our block in my head is pure genius and works like charmr. Been a fan for 2 years, using it daily, and by fixing the other reward bug, it just became a truly perfect little app.

### 5/5 — Procrastination busted

*2017-05-24, version 3.1*

Still the best APP of it's kind! If you value your precious time, get this app ASAP. You are welcome.

### 5/5 — Time is precious

*2017-05-24, version 3.1*

Good lord, this is pure genius. When you name your enemy it loses its power. Indeed! Kinda lifechanger, let’s see if it sticks long term. (using it for 3 weeks and works like charm)

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2017-03-30, version 3.0*

First of all, definitely enjoying and using the app and have been abnormally productive, but there seems to be room for improvement. When you're done with a time segment, it makes a cute little blip noise, which I can barely hear in a quiet room, but my working environment is NOT quiet, and I like to play music on my phone while working. Can it vibrate or have more variety of alarm noises? I feel like I have to keep checking this app to see if I should move on to the next segment, which is kind of an ironic distraction. Also, it would be kind of nice to be able to keep track of the things you've done. I can understand if that's too much clutter for such a streamlined app, though. The 9 little demons are wonderfully broken down, and definitely make these looming deadlines a little less scary.

### 3/5 — Would love to see real incentive

*2016-12-09, version 3.0*

The choice to email someone or post on social media should happen IF the timer runs out. What's the point of sending someone a random email as a punishment if it just happens?

### 5/5 — I finally understand it.

*2016-10-27, version 3.0*

So when I first started using this application, I was confused on why I had to choose these demons, so didn't use this application at first. Then one day when I had to do college essay, I kept on procrastinating and making excuses to not do it. So I tried using the application because I was desperate to try to start on my essay. I wrote down on the task bar "write outline for essay" then I carefully read through the description of these demons. I noticed that I have lots of these metaphoric demons around me. In the cases of "writing the outline" I had the resourceless demon blocking me from doing this task! So I selected it. Then the application took me step by step to defeating this blocking demon! It asked me the necessary questions to figure out what the demon was blocking. Then, I realized that I was making this task bigger and more abstract then it had to be. If I don't have the resources where can I go to get them? I said to myself, "Hello! Wake up! Your assignment sheet gives you all the steps! Read it carefully and do not overthink it! If the answer is not there, I can ask my instructor a question or I can search for it on google." Bam! I just defeated my blocking demon for the first time! Now I am hooked on this application and I use it everyday so it can help me find and overcome my metaphoric blocking demon!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Do Not Waste your Money or GB

*2020-04-12, version 3.1*

First, this should be offered with instructions, as a 7-day trial. Second, this was a complete waste of my time and money! There are zero directions, it is basically a fancy demotivating timer.

### 1/5 — Absolute junk

*2019-03-27, version 3.1*

How does this stupid app get all these positive reviews? Looks like it was knocked out in about five minutes, totally useless.

### 1/5 — Confused

*2016-10-04, version 3.0*

I do not understand how this app work it only gives me two options, to select a demon, or go straight to a timer. When I select a demon it then just goes to a timer. When I click on setting.... it just brings me to a third timer. I have looked for web support, or instructions, but there are none. This app is a glorified timer.

### 1/5 — Not really any gamified aspects that offer much help

*2015-07-24, version 2.2*

The app doesn't really do anything for me-by trying all of the various "demons" it seems like that's all there is to the app. Would be great if there was more of a gamified aspect to track your progress and how much was completed - or if every time I chose a demon again it gave me other questions, prompts etc...some sort of personalized learning into my efforts would be nice. The Carrot to-do app offers more variety to keep me interested.

kind of a waste of 2.99.

### 1/5 — No sound!

*2015-05-22, version 2.1*

No sound, so it's useless. Why would you make a Pomo app with no sound to signal end? Easy fix- hope the developers take note. Demons are cute, but needs additional ones for other common issues. Still, not functional without sound.

### 1/5 — No sound

*2015-04-23, version 2.1*

If I have to guess and look at my phone for the timer, then it defeats the purpose of this app - time and $ waster

### 2/5 — Don’t know what to do with it

*2019-01-21, version 3.1*

Really can’t find an explanation of how to use it

### 2/5 — Glorified timer

*2018-01-07, version 3.1*

There is no way to store tasks, but it requires you to input one which makes no sense. There is even a bug where if you go back the task is erased. It uses the term "sprint" but there is no backlog or anything else that adheres with the concepts of agile.

### 2/5 — Basically a timer

*2016-10-26, version 3.0*

You might as well open up the alarm app and set a timer for yourself or find one online because that's basically all this is. Used it for about 10 minutes and literally sat there questioning the purpose so now it's gone. A waste in my opinion, simply because it's not really what I expect out of a anti-procrastination app. It's too generic and offers a solution that can be easily found elsewhere without spending the money.

### 2/5 — The user experience is frustrating

*2016-10-04, version 3.0*

You buy the app. You have to choose demons which you assume would be given as a choice. However you have to type your own one and it keeps repeating you need to choose at least three demons without any hint(how should I know?). Immediately app takes you to another page that just switched the timer similar to pomodoro. The app has potential but not worked out properly.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — One of a kind!

*2023-07-30*

It’s too bad this app is no longer being developed. It has become an essential for me especially as an ADHDer.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2019-06-28, version 3.1*

This app is sooo good. Take it from me. If your like me and get really scared to do something that takes awhile, you should download this app, it splits it up from 5 min to another 20 and keeps going and you can chose to take a break. I was cleaning my room for like an hour and I thought it was just like 30 min it’s amazing. Did I mention that you could pick a reward! Just download this app

### 5/5 — Works

*2019-04-21, version 3.1*

Works.

### 5/5 — Great for getting out of procrastination ruts

*2018-12-16, version 3.1*

I usually don’t write reviews but I have had this app for 3 years and been using it all the time as a student and for getting my work done. It’s better than any pomodoro app I’ve tried and is really engaging with the demons and making yourself write a reward before you start each session. Amazing, love the first 5 minute sprint, I usually say I’ll just do one small thing like read one paragraph and you are always surprised how much you can actually accomplish in 5 minutes of focused work. Helps me stop thinking and just start doing.

### 5/5 — This works for me

*2018-03-23, version 3.1*

This simple app helps me identify my demons and crush all my excuses. It warms you up to getting started, which can be my biggest road block. Very helpful!

### 5/5 — Great

*2017-12-13, version 3.1*

Love this app. Like your own mini, portable therapist.

### 5/5 — cool

*2017-09-13, version 3.1*

it help

### 5/5 — Excellent concept

*2017-07-24, version 3.1*

Really enjoy the app!

### 5/5 — Better than pharmaceuticals for ADD

*2017-05-27, version 3.1*

As an adult with ADD, nothing has helped me be more productive. This is a rare life-changing app!

Make sure your rewards are good enough to motivate you to stay on task for the set duration. 10 min of a MMO strategy game for every 30 min of productive, focused, disciplined sprints makes me more productive than several hours of non-structured work.

### 5/5 — Most Fun Procrastination Buster.

*2017-05-26, version 3.1*

This app makes me dig into why I'm "just not doing _____." Fun graphics, casual writing, and insightful questions that make you start to think about how to get the task done. Love it!!!!
