## What is Ariya?

Ariya turns speech into text for meetings, interviews, lectures, voice notes, and video captioning. It can transcribe while you record, keep the original audio with the transcript, and make results easy to review, search, correct, and export.

Import an existing video and Ariya can recognize its audio track, convert speech into time-aligned text, and display generated captions with playback. If original captions are missing, use the wrong language, or are inaccurate, you can try another speech-recognition service.

On supported devices and languages, iOS on-device speech recognition provides fast processing without sending audio to a cloud service. For other languages or different results, connect an online speech-recognition service you choose. Coverage, accuracy, speed, and cost vary by provider.

If Attha is installed and its Lifetime entitlement is active, recognized captions can also be translated in Ariya to create synchronized bilingual captions.
