There are a lot of improvements and it looks better, but being redirected to a different browser where you have to sign in again is pretty frustrating. Even limited access to canvas is better than this, it’s the only reason I downloaded the app in the first place. This, however, does not yield great results. Someone please let me into the fitness center, I have been stranded outside waiting for my mobile ID request to go through (again). ### 1/5 — Clunky functionality, Passkey issues *2026-01-09, version 9.0.3* The app often redirects to webpages that require authentication again for a lot of the essential ASU services. This takes away from the seamless experience of using an app.. why would I use this if it doesn’t provide that seamless experience. Furthermore, the passkey function doesn’t work for me.. when I attempt to create one I get redirected to ASU Oauth, after authenticating the app gets stuck on a sign-in page to “use your passkey” The app developers really need to make this more user friendly and less buggy. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2025-10-28, version 9.0.3* It worked fine at first, but then one day it logged me out and everytime I try to log back in, the app crashes. The app icon doesn’t support the new Liquid Glass design with Light, Dark, Tinted, and Clear modes, and the app itself still lacks a proper Dark Mode. Apple’s new system updates how icons and interfaces adapt to user appearance settings. Most apps now look seamless in both Light and Dark Mode, but this one still stands out because the UI stays bright and the icon doesn’t match iOS 26’s style. The survey is supposed to be 50 points, but it doesn’t work. I worked so hard to gather all of these points and now, they’re not even saved in my lifetime bank. This app sucks and there is no way to contact customer support. Don’t even bother participating in the reward system because it feels like a scam to ensure a certain number of daily users. ### 1/5 — Can’t access the app after update *2026-04-10, version 10.3* Completely frustrating can’t access the app after the update requiring to contact IT helpdesk for a passcode, which is ridiculous when I have duo set up and it’s no longer connecting. They need to fix this. This is completely blocking students from accessing the app. ### 1/5 — Required but useless *2026-03-31, version 10.3* As a graduate student I’m required to use the ASU app for my student ID card and building access. The app itself shows my card but is otherwise useless. Previous versions had good information like maps and events happening that day. The new version removed that info and all embedded account access. This pushes the necessary content like Canvas or MyASU to an external login. What is the point of the app, then? Students can customize their feeds and really make the app work for them and their needs. The schedule feature makes it simple for students to navigate their classes. They can add events to their schedule too! Communication between fellow classmates is also a new feature added with their latest release. The target audience is for anyone on the go requiring information on My ASU, directory, campus maps, future students, Sun Devil athletics, Alumni, ASU on the news, library, media, colleges and schools and graduation ceremonies This application is of great value for its simple navigation, it is free and well designed.
