### 2/5 — Too left wing

*2026-08-08, version 8.02*

I only subscribe for the sports and entertainment stuff

### 2/5 — I’d like to PDF scroll whole newspaper using the app

*2026-08-02, version 8.02*

The newspaper app using macOS is adequate. If it allowed scrolling a “1 page” pdf document, it would be off the charts good. We had this some years ago before the current app.

### 5/5 — Newspaper

What a wonderful blessing to always have the Arkansas Democrat Gazette at my fingertips. I am so thankful.
This newspaper has so much more than any other in the country and it’s available every day. It also has a good mix of liberal and conservative journalism.
Of course, as an old fellow, I would like more conservative viewpoints but I do recognize that the liberals are more absorbed in politics than conservatives seem to be.

ADG’s articles are well written, speak from differing points of view, and are sourced from respected news entities.
Thank you for good journalism.

### 5/5 — My Review

*2025-08-24, version 7.5*

My wife and I are ADG loyalists. I like the local columnists…particularly Brian Hendricks, Rex Nelson and Phillip Martin. I like the in-depth reporting on local news and the thorough Razorback coverage.

We both like the digital format. The bad news is we are both 83 and presume the majority of your subscribers are older. I never see any effort by the ADG to reach younger people and grow your circulation. Perhaps you have research that says chasing young potential subscribers is a lost cause. The subscription fee is entirely reasonably but when I encourage young middle class people to take the paper it seems that they see the cost as a high bar. Lifestyle is another issue. We are deeply retired. We have the time and the commitment to read both the ADG and the WSJ every day. We grew up that way and recognize the difference in thoroughness, talent and integrity that a dood daily paper provides.

Bottom line is we like you and appreciate you but wonder how you can make it work financially. You are apparently reaching proportionately more people and providing more content than many papers in bigger urban areas. You need to find a way to sustain and even grow your base. I think it can be done. Perhaps it is by offering a bargain first year rate for new subscribers who provide their own reading devices. The free IPad was a smart way to hold most of your base through the digital conversion but is probably not needed now. The key to the extraordinary growth of many American digital enterprises is that there is very little incremental cost tied to a new customer.

Find a way. We are rooting for you.

### 5/5 — Good newspaper, great format

*2025-07-24, version 7.5*

I appreciate that the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette presents a balanced coverage of the news, and I’ve come to love the on-line format. In many ways it’s better than a physical newspaper, because I can read it when I’m in Denver or Schenectady or wherever, and the format is very usable. I subscribe to three other on-line newspapers, and this format is head-and-shoulders above the others. PS - their customer service is great, too!

### 5/5 — Arkansas Democrat

*2025-07-22, version 7.5*

Keeps up with current events and news.

### 5/5 — Love the lap pad!

*2025-07-15, version 7.5*

We have subscribed to the Democrat Gazette for over 50 years and enjoy its well balanced news, sports, and other features. When we first heard of the new online format we thought we would miss the physical paper with the familiar newsprint, like reading an actual book. We are huge fans of the free laptops, portability of taking the paper while on vacation, and making the font larger for old eyes! Thank you for adapting to the times and for providing such outstanding reporting, editorials, and award winning content! You are a state treasure!

### 5/5 — Democrat-Gazette

*2025-07-01, version 7.5*

This paper has morphed into an excellent purveyor of the real and actual news. Some of the Editorials are also well done, and there is a good variety in the letters to the Editor. Deering is an absolute jewel.

### 2/5 — Opinion of ADG

Too left wing!

Superior, unbiased and professional reporting

### 5/5 — I love the format

*2025-06-04, version 7.5*

I have always been a daily newspaper reader. I was a bit skeptical when the ADG switched to the IPAD online delivery, but I have continued to read it daily and love that the online version is the same format as the print version.

### 5/5 — Enjoy!

### 5/5 — Joy in the morning

### 5/5 — Review of ADG

*2025-05-26, version 7.5*

I really enjoy the diversity of opinions in your perspective pages. I think I can trust the hard news you present on the rest of the paper. This is my main source of Arkansas news. Please keep up the good work. Joe Hester, Little Rock.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — ADG

*2026-05-24, version 8.02*

Longtime subscriber and I like the newspaper News is mostly accurate. I miss the Pine Bluff addition Bob

### 1/5 — Can’t Download

*2026-03-13, version 8.02*

I’m logged in but the screen response says I need to login to download. Also sent multiple emails requesting help with no replies!

### 1/5 — Unbalanced

*2025-10-08, version 7.5*

Too much slanted reporting. Business page is decent to good. Editorial writers somewhat balanced out.

### 1/5 — Left wing trash

*2025-05-24, version 7.5*

This used to be a good newspaper. Now it has followed the rest of mainstream media down the liberal left wing rabbit hole. The core values statement on page two is a joke

### 1/5 — Fake news

*2023-08-07, version 6.7*

Some of the stories are untrue
Apparently these guys Will publish anything for a story.

Pathetic.

### 1/5 — Subscription issues

*2022-09-07, version 6.4.2*

I have had the subscription two months and read the newspaper twice. I have called to have my password reset only to find out my account does not exist. Password and account corrected and less than a week, same issue. I am still waiting for my phone call back from customer service. Guess they are still looking for my account; again.

### 1/5 — Price

*2022-07-25, version 6.4.2*

Every other online paper in the country is $10.00 or less a month. I’m seriously thinking about dropping my subscription. Even your sister papers are less expensive than the ADG.

### 1/5 — Leftist Pap!

*2022-07-20, version 6.4.2*

Hey why don’t you guys try a little harder to impress your subscribers. Grab Substack articles that might offset the leftist slant of every news article you use for copy. It is truly amazing how weak minded you must assume your paid customers are. I am sure if you can use this “newspaper” to turn someone towards the ideology of the left it’s all worth it! But hey you don’t have to worry about me I’ll be sending my cute little iPad back to you soon. And I happen to know several of my friends are on the verge as well. So just like all the leftist cable channels your “viewership” heading south! Sad

Ps. I think there are some psychotropic drugs to help people with Trump derangement syndrome. You can wake up now he’s not in power.

### 1/5 — Unbiased a joke

*2022-05-29, version 6.4.2*

The paper’s statement that it is unbiased should have been published in the comics section! If there was another option I would leave in a heartbeat!

### 1/5 — Editorial page

*2022-04-27, version 6.4.2*

Your editorial page as well as your United press articles are so liberally biased it is almost embarrassing to read the editors defense of equal covering. Last year I picked out a week just to see how liberal your paper was. I added up for one week how many articles on the editorial pages, letters to the editor, and guest articles. For the week it showed 79% liberal items, 18% conservative, and 3% neutral. You try it sometime and see for yourself, it might be enlightening you never know until you walk in another’s shoes.
