Also, why isn’t there the option to see the client’s upcoming schedule from their profile? ### 3/5 — Not user friendly *2025-12-12, version 1.1.3* Although there are frequent updates, there are still may challenges. I’m not longer able to request a sub for a class, which I was able to do before the recent update. It also would be helpful if sub requests were sent via text in addition to emails. I also wish I could see a students class check-in history at my studio, even if they paid through class pass. I feel like the intention is there, but the app is not created with the actual user, who is checking in students, in mind. ### 2/5 — Update is terrible *2025-10-03, version 1.1.3* The app update made the app even worse. Now I can’t go back and look at the previous days clients. And individual client names no longer show on the booked calendar slot. So I have to click on each one to see who the client is instead of being able to see my day at a glance. The app rarely works, doesn’t refresh, takes forever to load, often signs you out, and navigates horrendously. If you enjoy asking people to “just wait a minute” for 5 minutes whenever you need to access something via Arketa, then this might be for you. Otherwise, you’ll be spending more time navigating and waiting for the site to respond than you will teaching a class. I used to think MindBody was frustrating, then I met Arketa. ### 2/5 — Struggling *2025-05-15, version 1.0.0* I really want to love Arketa. BUT, the calendar for appointments never sticks. I have 5 rooms and it always reverts back to 1 room even after saving in the filters. The organization mocks MindBody but does it worse. Can never load a future week. Really hate this app and doesn't seem like they want to make any improvements to user functionality. Upsetting this is the app my studio chooses to use. ----------------- A second review because it's just that bad. After a recent update I can no longer use the app to check in clients and am forced to sign into the desktop/web version. Upsetting this is the app my studio chooses to use. ### 1/5 — Big Promises, Weak Execution *2025-12-30, version 1.1.3* Arketa is trying to solve a real problem fitness businesses actually need—but in trying to be everything, they’ve sold businesses to get stuck in their platform that isn’t effective at any single feature. After 15 months, features promised during the sales process are still missing or unreliable. Frequent updates ignore real-world UX and regularly disrupt core business workflows. When issues arise, support takes weeks to diagnose and fix problems, leaving businesses to absorb the fallout. Good idea. Poor execution. Oversold, underdelivered, and not dependable for daily operations. ### 1/5 — The worst and slowest app *2025-11-12, version 1.1.3* I’ve used many different apps for work and this one is by far the worst. Never works, everything takes forever to download, there’s always a glitch. I have had to delete and redownload the app so many times I’ve lost count just to get it to work again. I can’t see sub requests in the app or any of the other previous tabs that were under “classes”. Have fun scrolling through the alphabet until you find them. Please fix this, it’s beyond ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Trash! Do they even test before launching??? *2025-10-02, version 1.1.3* This app is now trash, before it was mediocre. The latest update took away lots of functionality. You can no longer see clients name for private appointments in the schedule. The client tab rarely loads and you can no longer access the client’s full account through it or their appointment booking. Instead you have to use the checkout tab with annoying popups to get to the full menu. The point of a business app is to give ease of access to the full functionality of the software. It’s not a highlight reel. Taking a way the full menu from each tab was a mistake IMO as it slows down business. Also, cash payments no longer function. I started with Arketa from the beginning because they really supported individual instructors, but now it seems they just want to sell to large studios and custom apps while leaving behind the individuals. Everything is an upsell for scheduling features that should be standard. Customer support use to be excellent, but now it’s hard to get any answers. ### 1/5 — Horrible software - always bugs and never works *2025-09-14, version 1.0.0* I’m constantly spending hours every day troubleshooting issues with my software instead of running my business and Arketa does not respond and takes more than three months to fix an issue only for the issues to keep reoccurring. Customers have been unable to rent videos for three months, which is lost revenue for our business. I highly recommend selecting a different software. ### 1/5 — This app is subpar *2025-07-05* As a yoga instructor who has to use the Arketa app because our business owner switched over to it-I am stunned how poorly this app works/or in my case rarely works at all. 9.5 times out of 10 when I’m trying to look at class numbers for class prep the app won’t bring up the classes or the schedule. It has gotten so bad that I rarely use the app any more which of course impacts how I prep for my class. We’ve also lost clients from signing up for their classes because they can’t get their side of the app to work.
