### 4/5 — UPnP from iPhone made easy

*2017-09-26, version 1.92*

I have tried, unsuccessfully, for years to play my music from my iPhone on my Grace Digital radio. Sounds simple but it's not! You can't just Bluetooth it. There has to be a UPNP server to connect. There can be a little delay but overall this app was so quick to set up and easy to use. I'm so excited to have a new love between iPhone and Grace! Thank you so much!!!

### 4/5 — iPhone 8

*2017-09-03, version 1.92*

Cool Yessssss!!!!

### 4/5 — I’ve never seen an app do this before

*2015-03-25, version 1.8.2*

I like the option to be able to stream offline and online. I was kinda confused by the main screen and very limited menu but otherwise it’s pretty cool!

### 5/5 — Not just good but great app.

*2015-03-01, version 1.8.2*

I actually enjoy this app. It is easy for quick sharing with the family, either its sharing through the big screen or sharing phone to phone. You can share files easily too. The app also carries good amount of streaming.

### 5/5 — Streaming Made Easy

*2015-02-16, version 1.8.2*

This app made it a breeze to start streaming straight to me Xbox One. It instantly recognized it and allowed me to video my photos/videos right on the big screen. It was very simple and fast. Would highly recommend!

### 4/5 — Great for being free

*2015-02-14, version 1.8.2*

This app does what it says well. The interface is simple, but when I first opened it i was slightly confused so they could do with some very basic overview of where all the features are and how to use it.

### 4/5 — Slows

*2015-02-13, version 1.8.2*

It connects but video is choppy and slow, wouldn't recommend. new update fixes the playback and Improves the interface. Much better now. Recommend this app now.. After a few updates is it super fast and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Love the smooth streaming

*2015-02-13, version 1.8.2*

Have used this media center app with my UPnP devices and found the experience quite seamless and smooth. Additionally this app has a clean interface and is easy to use. Would recommend this app to anyone who needs a slick media center app to consolidate all their streaming needs.

### 4/5 — Great Streamer

*2015-02-12, version 1.8.2*

I was able to stream content from my device onto my Panasonic Smart TV without going throug the AppleTV or ChromeCast device
Had minor buffering issues with HD content as all devices were on the same 2.4 Ghz Wireless network
otherwise a great app

### 5/5 — Excellent streamer

*2015-02-09, version 1.8.2*

I think that for everyone sometimes is a little annoying the iTunes lock I mean the only way to put something is thought iTunes, well this app make very easy to transfers file in the iPhone, and is an amazing streaming and is good because this app is able to make simultaneous stream in different devices. Is really a good app.

### 5/5 — Sanya05

wonderful app look forward to updates and additions to it! take a long long time once did not leave disappointed 👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-01-20, version 1.8.2*

I love this media app. I have a lot of video compilation and this app really gets the job done. The interface of the app is very easy to navigate and the features are straight forward. Higly recommended if you're looking for great media apps.

### 5/5 — Best remote video app

*2015-01-20, version 1.8.2*

I wanted to play videos off my laptop on my phone so I got this and it works great. Checked out splashtop and onscreen but went with this and hey it's free. I'm not using my data to stream, couldn't be happier

### 5/5 — Multi screen Playback

*2015-01-19, version 1.8.2*

I like being able to simultaneously stream files to 2 different HD TVs. The other feature that makes this app really useful is the watching videos offline. Easy to set up. Well worth downloading.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not Going to Upgrade until it works

*2019-10-26, version 1.93*

The upgrade $$ to the Pro version are reasonable but I’m not paying it unless I can play videos on my HD TV. Limiting number of video files cast or ads on the standard version are legitimate and acceptable. Paying for the Pro version and having it not work is just a rip-off.

### 1/5 — Don’t Buy It!

*2019-01-11, version 1.92*

I tried to watch a video and it told me I needed to upgrade to be able to watch the video I was requesting.

After spending the $6, it told me the ‘operation failed’ and I couldn’t get it to download.

Please refund me.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all don’t waste your time

*2018-06-24, version 1.92*

This app is useless and doesn’t work. No manual no instructions no help what so ever. Reason: because it doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Don't waste your time

*2017-03-19, version 1.92*

Video doesn't work. Using app with iPad and Sharp Smart TV. Photos work sometimes (not very well) and video is non-existant. Save your time and money. Terrible app.

### 1/5 — Yep network errors

*2016-01-27, version 1.8.5*

Yes you can see that the ratings are bimodal. Meaning that they are either one or 5. This is a good indicator that something is fishy about the high ratings. This app is a dog and does not work on an iPhone 6 Plus attempting to stream to a PS3. Crashes as soon as it recognizes the partial contents of the iphone.
This app costs too much at any price. I paid anyway. Next time I will follow my gut and not purchase apps such as this which have reviews at the polar extremes.

### 1/5 — Garbage trial ware

*2013-11-20, version 1.7.6*

Total garbage don't download. Only lists the first few files in a folder. Expects you to buy the paid version to play the rest of the files in a folder. Has ads and nags. Lasted all of 1 minute before I had to delete it. Save yourself the time.

Apple needs to stop letting developers label apps as "lite" when they are nothing more than crippled versions filled with ads and nags. Lite means lacking features of the premium, not useless versions that just take up space and waste time.

### 2/5 — Awkward interface

*2014-01-04, version 1.7.6*

I liked the way this app works on DLNA, and the ability to discover media from any DLNA compatible servers on the network. But the interface is way too simple that browsing through the media library is very difficult.

I expect it has at least the basic media library interface with folder tree panel on the left, and thumbnail or detail view on the right like windows explorer or Picasa. I'd definitely buy full version if you make a beautiful browsing interface.

### 3/5 — IOS Compatible

*2018-07-24, version 1.92*

First thing to work with iPhone. Thanks.

### 3/5 — Woks great but needs replay

*2014-08-07, version 1.7.6*

I like this app but the music player needs a replay function and there needs to be a search function to easily bring up songs instead of scrolling through a long list. Overall I like it.

### 3/5 — Almost

*2014-07-17, version 1.7.6*

I liked the interface and thought the app was a winner. I almost bought the paid version until I saw it will not support playing files in the background while doing other tasks. A lot of music apps will do this and it's a serious ding that this one does not. Because of this issue I will stick with 8Player but will look forward to the developer adding background play to this program.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I like it

*2017-05-21*

Super apps

### 5/5 — Well done

*2016-07-20, version 1.8.6*

Exactly what you want in DNLA player. Great potential. Transcoding if any, doesn't seem to like all videos/audio. If your device can play standalone, it will probably play fine on this app.

### 5/5 — Glad I found this app!

*2016-06-23, version 1.8.6*

It deserves its five stars. I thought the only way to transfer media to my hd tv is through notebook dlna program. But now I can do it and stream my iPhone media directly on the tv without any wires! Awesome!

### 5/5 — Excellent media player!

*2016-06-18, version 1.8.6*

This is really well designed and works perfectly without any bugs. Very high quality product!

### 5/5 — Extremely powerful, yet simple

*2016-04-28, version 1.8.6*

This really work well. Have immediately started using it and very glad I found it. Intuitive navigation, great design, works flawlessly, all around 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Works

*2016-04-10, version 1.8.6*

Really easy set up and you have a few options for files and videos. Works well

### 5/5 — Good media streaming app

*2016-03-25, version 1.8.6*

A great media steaming app that is fairly intuitive to use as it detects some but not all of my devices already on the same wifi network. A tutorial for new users would be a great addition.

### 5/5 — Excellent Features and really powerful

*2015-10-03, version 1.8.3*

Great app, works well, though some core features are only available in the paid app. However, it works awesome on my Apple TV and Raspberry Pi XBMC server. I love the new features that they have provided. Really great quality streaming.

### 5/5 — Really cool!

*2015-06-19, version 1.8.2*

Really cool and useful app! Very easy to get started with, and loads of great functionality!

The ads are sort of turning me away though, so see if you can't do anything about that

### 5/5 — Amazing solution for home streaming

*2015-03-19, version 1.8.2*

If you have ever wanted to stream media across all devices from your phone this works great. Open standards and compatible with almost all AV technology.
