The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is located in Des Moines, IA and serves the pets and people in our community. The ARL app allows you to view all the pets that are currently available for adoption and the pet lists update every 30 minutes. Looking for a specific pet? Set up parameters to receive notifications and when a pet matches your criteria you’ll be notified and can come meet the pet! This is no longer available so you have to constantly check the app which I don’t always have time to do. Before they changed the app, I would get a notification and immediately go to the app to check the dog out. It’s nice to be able to “star” the ones that grab your attention and can come back to. Tried to adopt 1 more female, but you didn't tell me she was antisocial towards other cats!!!! So I adopted her, only to find out how she was to my cats- not good, she doesn't get along with them, goes after them no fighting but she taunts them and that turns into stressing out everyone. I can't believe that the ARL didn't tell me about this!!! I'm so done adopting with the ARL, they don't tell you everything about the animals that you're interested in. And you need to so that what I'm doing doesn't happen to anyone else!!!! Very destructive to the animals & people that are looking for the right pet.
