## What is ARLO?

arlo connects you with the artists working around you — the painters, illustrators, ceramicists, and makers shaping your city's art scene.

DISCOVER LOCAL ART
Browse original pieces from artists near you. Explore by category, search for what you love, and save favourites to come back to.

FOLLOW ARTISTS
Find an artist whose work speaks to you? Follow them to keep up with their new pieces and shows.

NEVER MISS AN ART EVENT
Gallery openings, markets, exhibitions — see what's happening around you, RSVP, and add events to your calendar.

TALK TO ARTISTS DIRECTLY
Message artists to ask about a piece, a commission, or a pickup — no middleman.

FOR ARTISTS
Open your shop, list your work, announce your events, and reach the people who want to buy art from someone local — not from a warehouse. Track your shop's views, followers, and saves with built-in insights.

arlo is free for buyers and artists.

WHERE WE ARE
arlo has launched in Paris, with more French cities coming soon.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-25

Search is smarter: ARLO now understands what you're looking for, not just the words you type.
Search by photo: tap the photo button in the search field to find similar pieces.
Suggestions as you type, plus your recent searches, so you can get back to what you love.
Discover similar pieces on every item page.
Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-19

A new look: ARLO now opens on the artwork itself, with redesigned splash, sign-in and loading screens.
Artists can list a piece as "Price on request" instead of a fixed price.
Have an invite code? Redeem it from Profile settings and set up your artist shop in a few taps.
Links to artists, pieces and events now open straight in the app.
Faster browsing, clearer artist listings, and a batch of smaller fixes.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-03

Browse first, sign in later.

• arlo now opens straight into the app — explore artists, pieces and events without an account. You’re only asked to sign in at the moment it’s needed, and you carry on exactly where you left off.
• The app opens on a city from the very first launch, and only asks for your location when it will change what you see.
• New piece transitions: tap a photo and it grows into the full page, then settles back into the tile you opened it from. Swipe down, or in from the edge, to go back.
• The Pieces feed now keeps each photo’s own shape instead of cropping everything to one size, and a piece’s page shows the whole image rather than a cropped banner.
• Smoother swipe-back across artist, piece and event pages, plus dark mode and French fixes on the sign-in and location screens.
