This kind of app is always goingt o feel like a pain as it requires you to do work to get to your stuff but it minimises these steps. I particularly like the fact that I can plug the drive into a computer and use my phone to unlock remotely. ### 5/5 — Wow! and what? *2023-02-16* The wow. The features for the price with FIPS 140-2 L3 validated encryption. It’s a great deal. The other options out there with similar capability are terrible. On top of that, the capability to go between MAC and Windows and unlock on both with this high of a level of security!? perfect. Literally just what I needed. the what? What are people talking about. Saying it doesn't work. I’ve literally never had a smoother setup process. Very cool you format the drive with your phone rather than a computer. ### 1/5 — Don’t buy *2022-05-21* The drive is a good idea but does not work and relies to much on the app. Half the time it won’t connect this drive gives me trouble. Never again transfer all my work on another drive and will not use this drive again. ### 1/5 — The worst app. Do yourself and your blood pressure a favor and stay away. *2022-01-12* About 75% or the time these drives won’t connect or unlock. I spend on average 30 min every time I use them trying to get them unlocked. I was on a shoot last week and plugged them in and the app deleted them and I had to start all over. It’s such a pain to put the keychain in and the QR code doesn’t work 90% of the time. When it asks me for the 8 digit code next to the QR code, it says it doesn’t exist. The app for the computer is even worse! The idea is great and I could use it for sensitive projects but it’s not worth the hassle. I wish you could turn the locking feature off. Forget about sharing a drive with an editor. They will never get in. Do you have to copy everything to another drive and you lose the security. So what is the actual point?? The time I waste trying to unlock the drives negate the speed of the drives. Do yourself and your blood pressure a favor and stick with normal SSD drives. ### 4/5 — Can’t get past License Agreement *2020-10-14* I would love to try this app out with my new ArmorLock drive, but I can’t get past the License Agreement. Even though I’ve scrolled to bottom of Agreement, the “Accept” button remain greyed out and un-clickable. I’ve tried deleting app and reinstalling, with no luck. Wrote to Support, but haven’t heard back yet. You’d think they would have tested this before releasing...? UPDATE: Support got back to me. They asked me if my Display Zoom on iPhone was set to “zoomed”, which it was. I set to standard and was then able to click to agree to the License Agreement. Hopefully they’ll fix this bug in future updates and save people the frustration I experienced.
