### 2/5 — All Appointments Booked?

*2022-02-15, version 1.0.12*

Is the app even functional/useful anymore? It does not appear that vaccine locations/appts are updated anymore.

### 3/5 — OK but Missing Features

*2021-04-02, version 1.0.10*

My 2nd shot was automatically scheduled for when I’ll be out of town.

There does NOT appear to be a way to cancel and reschedule an appointment in the app.

### 1/5 — ArmorVax Mistakes

*2021-03-26, version 1.0.10*

Scheduled my mother and various other family members for first and second vaccines. Today I get an email from ArmorVax with my mother’s name saying she has an appointment at a second location three hours away on a different day. The appointment I scheduled for her is still listed. For Pfizer when she’s Moderna. We never scheduled this second appointment. My concerns are for privacy and safety of anyone using this app. How did someone get my email and my mother’s name to set up a second appointment when she’s already scheduled for her legit appointment? This is dangerous and I have calls into our local health department to see just why this happened. I took screen shots of our appointments in case I find out someone is accessing my account and starts messing around with our information. Why don’t you have a red flag system that would have prevented this from happening? I was able to cancel the appointment we didn’t make on the app so it’s gone. I want to know how come someone made a second appointment in my mother’s name three hours away in another county for a totally different vaccine?

### 4/5 — Got my appointment

*2021-03-25, version 1.0.10*

I got an appointment shortly after downloading the app, and it’s pretty easy to use. It does ask for a lot of information, but thankfully I had all of it from my insurance. It keeps saying no appointments are available whenever I try to schedule my husband for a vaccine, though. And his brother scheduled one just a few minutes beforehand. I think it’s buggy but I’ll work through it.

### 5/5 — Amazing! Skip insurance

*2021-03-25, version 1.0.10*

All these negative reviews are simply not true. Of course there will be appointments unavailable. Everybody is trying to get vaccinated. You have to stay vigilant and check back every day. I’ve been doing that for 3 days, and now I have an appointment!!! Whooooooo!!!!

### 5/5 — Great process!

*2021-03-24, version 1.0.10*

Was in and out before you knew it. Very professional staff. Love love love how you have the “official” access to your shot record.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t list / show scheduled appointments!

*2021-03-23, version 1.0.10*

I booked an appointment but have no idea where the appointment is booked because the application doesn’t show booked appointments. Oops. Minor detail!

### 1/5 — Does not seem to work and asks for personal information that they don’t need to know

*2021-03-23, version 1.0.10*

I downloaded the app and it does not seem to work as advertised. It should not require your health info and exact dob. I think it should be based on how old you are. I agree with the prior review it seems sketchy.

### 4/5 — Skip the insurance part and it works fine

*2021-03-22, version 1.0.10*

Had an appointment scheduled within 10 minutes of downloading the app. Choose SKIP when you get to the medical insurance part and the app works fine.

### 4/5 — If you know what you’re doing, not a bad app

*2021-03-22, version 1.0.10*

Forget all of the negative reviews you’re reading. I’ve used this and have had no issues whatsoever. It’s very simple and straight forward. You put in the information and you can search up to 40 miles from your location. You can even use it to schedule other family member’s appointments.

Of course you’re going to see there are no appointments if, news flash here, there are none. I used this app to schedule my 1st and 2nd shot. I just refreshed it several times that day and as soon as they opened up new appointments I was able to schedule it. I was actually able to use this app to get my appointments before they announced it on the news (I had my choice for multiple days and times).

Another plus, it digitally stores your vaccine shot, date, lot number, etc. I’m sure this is going to be something nice to have as vaccine passports are being discussed.

Let’s stop expecting a miracle folks and place the blame where it most likely belongs… On you!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No shareable vaccination record

*2022-07-07, version 1.0.12*

As an app for scheduling a vaccine appointment, it was never all that helpful. I found appointments on my own and went back to the app to schedule as required by Lorain County Public Health. I did this in the hope that vaccine records would be digitized and shareable. This never happened, so there is no practical utility to this app. The developers never bothered to participate in any of the projects aimed at creating electronic vaccine verification systems.

### 1/5 — App is poorly designed from function. They need to test it on mobile platforms to see bugs.

*2022-01-22, version 1.0.12*

Used websitey

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2021-11-07, version 1.0.12*

Why not search appointments and THEN have you enter your info if you want to schedule one??? Spent forever entering all my info only to find no appointments… and now I’ve just given out all of this info for no reason. Perfect. Skip this app!!!

### 1/5 — Wants an account in order to find a shot

*2021-08-10, version 1.0.12*

Sorry no, I’m not creating an account for some company I know nothing about, what they do with information and for them to potentially sell to everybody. So it’s a no from from me. My local health department still takes appointments over the phone, the better way to go.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2021-05-14, version 1.0.12*

This app was recommended by our school to get our kids vaccinated. This app is worthless for that. A waste of my time setting up an account.

### 1/5 — Ohio not listed as an option for state.

*2021-04-14, version 1.0.11*

The link to this app was included in a news article in Ohio... but you can’t choose Ohio in the drop down when registering...Maybe Ohio withdrew from the US? Will we get a new flag for our new republic? Do I still need to pay Federal income tax? So many questions. Please erase my personal info from your database.

### 1/5 — Editing

*2021-04-07, version 1.0.10*

I somehow added my son twice and there is no way to delete it. I also cannot check him in for some reason?

### 1/5 — Wrong appointment notification

*2021-03-30, version 1.0.10*

This app was okay for me because I skipped my insurance information. I have to use this app to get the vaccine through my school. The only problem that I had was that I was notified for my appointment the day before it was scheduled. This caused a panic because I thought I had missed my appointment before realizing that the notification was messed up and my appointment was indeed the next day. My friends with this app had the same problem and almost went a day in advance before realizing this mistake.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-03-30, version 1.0.10*

Been using for 2 months as state clearinghouse to schedule. Not even with worth it for energy spent to download. I wanted to love it. I was an early adopter only in frustration

### 1/5 — Privacy issues

*2021-03-30, version 1.0.10*

They request way way way to much info for an app to schedule a vaccine.
You can find a Flu shot without any info, it for some reason I cannot proceed without given them all my insurance policy information.

I’ll give my insurance info to the site, I don’t want to give it to random app company, who knows what you do with it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works Perfectly

*2022-10-07, version 1.0.12*

From searching locations, dates, times, and vaccine type, ArmorVax has been flawless. It makes staying protected as easy as it gets.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2021-04-16, version 1.0.11*

Installed app at 9am and scheduled appointment at 11am for my family. Works great. Without ArmorVax not sure if I could get vaccine so quickly. I had option to pick moderna, Pfizer and J&J. I chose Pfizer. Vaccination process was flawless and quick. Went to Duke convention center in Cincinnati downtown. In and out in 20 mins(15 mins was observation period after vaccination). Everything from start to end was great. Everyone at Cincinnati health dept were super helpful and courteous.
Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2021-04-09, version 1.0.10*

I installed the app on Friday afternoon and inserted all the details requested, related to my identity and my health. I Saturday morning I found a provider and scheduled my first shot pretty closed to me (about 10 mins) - on Tuesday I got my shot and I’ve already scheduled my second one (the second one was scheduled for me on the spot, by a human).
Briefly, it worked for me: five stars!

### 5/5 — Easy and fast

*2021-04-04, version 1.0.10*

Worked excellent. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — App works great!

*2021-04-03, version 1.0.10*

Had absolutely no problems using this app. I don’t understand the negative reviews. Yes sometimes it says no appointments available, BUT that’s happens when there are no appointments available. Just keep checking back in with the app. The app worked perfectly for me and now I have a record of my vaccines on my phone.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2021-04-02, version 1.0.10*

I too was confused by the application process at first. Fortunately I skipped the insurance part. It is confusing because some places you go to get a vaccination want insurance information, and some county run places do not need insurance info.

### 5/5 — Worked fine for me

*2021-03-31, version 1.0.10*

I don't understand the bad ratings.

### 5/5 — Works

*2021-03-30, version 1.0.10*

Allows for easy appointment and check-in

### 5/5 — Easy Peezy

*2021-03-28, version 1.0.10*

My county’s vaccination scheduling was run through this app. Downloaded and entered in the information it asked for (needed some help from Google as their questions didn’t align directly with the information on my insurance card, but it worked out.) and got my appointment scheduled. Wasn’t too bad and the app responds quickly and works well. Pleasantly impressed.

### 5/5 — Made scheduling the COVID vaccine easy

*2021-03-26, version 1.0.10*

It’s thanks to this app that my whole household was able to get the vaccine the first day we were eligible.

Once your information is in the app, it’s saved - so you don’t have to spend time filling out a form to schedule an appointment, only to discover it was booked by someone else by the time you finish.

If it looks like there aren’t any slots available ever, it’s because they fill up very fast. Check the app frequently. Also, try entering different cities in the map search box and you may find openings for the vaccine outside of your 40-mile radius (you need to do this manually, it does not load options by moving the map screen to different areas - suggestion for an update, ArmorVax?)

All in all though, the process of booking the COVID vaccine is efficient once you know how it works and has been the reason many people I knew have been able to get it promptly. Thank you!
