Around the House: Home Tracker

This update makes Around the House easier to navigate, more reliable, and more valuable as the history of your home grows. Meet Home Essentials, a new place for the household information you want close at hand. Add important items, trusted service providers, and quick-reference notes such as furnace filter sizes, shutoff locations, paint colors, insurance contacts, or seasonal instructions. You choose exactly what appears, so the screen stays useful and uncluttered. Global Search helps you find information across your entire home in seconds. Search items, maintenance history, reminders, documents, service providers, warranties, notes, model numbers, serial numbers, locations, and custom details. Selecting a result now opens the exact matching record, saving you from searching through another list. Maintenance tracking is safer and more forgiving. Completing a reminder now requires confirmation, helping prevent accidental history entries. If you do complete one by mistake, the new Undo option can reverse the completion and remove the automatically created maintenance record. Property management has also been improved. Property names are easier to identify and edit, default property selection is clearer, and delete controls are more discoverable. We also fixed crashes and navigation issues that could occur while deleting a property. Items can now include an installation date, separate from the purchase date. Maintenance history highlights when an item was last serviced, while improved area tools help keep room and location names consistent across each property. The Binder is easier to understand, with clearer access to documents, insurance information, and coverage details. Insurance and coverage information can now be managed directly from your property settings while remaining connected to the Binder. Demo Mode has received several important improvements. Example information is more focused, exiting Demo Mode is safer, and restarting the app now returns you to your own empty household without repeating onboarding. We also fixed crashes that could occur when removing example data. This release includes additional improvements to reminder reliability, backup and restore, CloudKit synchronization, navigation, accessibility, search performance, and overall stability. Around the House is becoming a calmer, more dependable record of everything that keeps your home running.
