This app started with a dictionary, a love of Geography, and my refusal to quit.
I spent years hand-crafting every puzzle from scratch — not as a side project, but as a calling. Despite discouragement along the way, I kept going, because I believed people deserved word search puzzles built on real knowledge: real cities, real rivers, real mountains, real ghost towns, from countries around the world. Getting it right took years. Every puzzle was researched, verified, and tested by hand. No algorithms. No shortcuts. No auto-generation.
When it came time to build the app, there was no budget to hire a developer. So my wife Opal took it on herself — while navigating her third breast cancer diagnosis — and built it from the ground up. What you're holding is a husband-and-wife effort, years in the making, built on passion, stubbornness, and the kind of love that shows up even when it's hard.
Every word in every puzzle is a real place. You'll discover authentic city names, regional towns, mountain ranges, rivers, and abandoned settlements across 39+ countries — with local characters and diacritics preserved exactly as they appear on the map. These are places that exist, with histories worth knowing.
Expert level only. 50+ words per puzzle. 8 directions including backwards. No handholding.
