## What is Arpeggi?

Arpeggi is an OpenSubsonic client designed with the same clean aesthetic as Apple’s apps, built for people who care about how their app feels.

Whether you're at home, in the car, or completely offline, your library is always within reach, beautifully presented and ready to play.

Gapless playback across AAC, FLAC, ALAC, and OPUS keeps your albums flowing exactly as they were meant to be heard. ReplayGain support ensures consistent volume across your entire collection, and server-side transcoding lets you balance quality and bandwidth.

Connect to multiple Subsonic servers and music folders from a single app. Arpeggi's continuous queue system keeps the music going, while Song and Artist Station modes let you explore your collection in a whole new direction.

Download your favourite albums and playlists in the background so your music is ready before you go offline. Scrobbles are cached locally with timestamps and synced when you're back online, so not a single play goes unrecorded.

Create and edit playlists directly from the app. Full CarPlay support keeps your eyes on the road. A customisable design means the experience adapts to you, not the other way around.

Built entirely in SwiftUI with a native-first approach, every interaction in Arpeggi feels at home on iOS fast, fluid, and familiar.
Requires a Subsonic or Open Subsonic compatible server.

### 4/5 — solid, BUT

*2026-08-28*

i just wish it supported animated album covers, that is all.

### 5/5 — Awesome music player

*2026-08-25*

Please support aac format transcode while playing.
Multi-language support such as Chinese would be very appreciated.
While add a new server, the scan process is a bit long, even though skipping is allowed. Maybe an “online type directly connected to server without scanning” is more convenient.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-08-07*

Would love an Apple TV version too.

### 5/5 — Does it all

*2026-07-30*

Like a DAP on my phone :)

### 1/5 — Does not support Airsonic.

*2026-07-30*

Unusable with Airsonic (which supports the Subsonic API), gives an error about incompatible Airsonic REST protocol version, but every other subsonic client seems to work fine.
Update: developer has responded claiming that the Airsonic api is incompatible, but that is not true, Airsonic was derived from Subsonic and is still compatible with the API. And every other subsonic client I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a LOT) works just fine with it.

**Developer response:** Update three 29/7/2026 - the reviewer has edited his review again. The fact still stands that this is an OpenSubsonic compatible client and Airsonic does not comply with the OpenSubsonic spec. Airsonic is deprecated and hasn't been updated in years. If the reviewer isn't just trolling, I would expect that he/she would remove this review since it serves no purpose.

Update two 25/7/2026 - after a one second google search it seems that Airsonic does not comply with the Open Subsonic spec so is not a compatible server with this app.

Hi sorry I’ve never been able to test with an Airsonic server. If I ever get the chance I will get it working. Feel free to leave feedback directly through email also if you have a way I can test on your server. Kind regards

Update 25/7/2026 - Reviewer edited the review so I am adding: Feel free to open an issue on Github or Discord.

### 5/5 — Best one so far

*2026-07-26, version 1.3*

I’ve hopped around between various Navidrome clients for iOS, and I’m liking Arpeggi the most so far. The UI is very native both in terms of look, feel, and function. I haven’t encountered any noticeable issues so far, it just works the way it’s supposed to and allows me to enjoy my local music library without unnecessary bells and whistles. Huge thanks to the developer for sharing their work of this app for free.

### 1/5 — Gives an error about the API

*2026-07-26, version 1.3*

Unusable, gives an error about incompatible Airsonic REST protocol version, but I’m not changing my server that works just fine with every other subsonic client just for this app.

### 4/5 — Amazing for what it is

*2026-07-16, version 1.3*

Worked without much tinkering, LOVE HOW YOU CAN GET LYRICS FOR ANY SONG, Please add a feature to control the volume of the sound especially on computer, I use Mac and I can’t turn down the volume for each app like on windows.

### 1/5 — Gives an error about the API

*2026-07-13, version 1.3*

Unusable, gives an error about incompatible Airsonic REST protocol version, but I’m not changing my server that works just fine with every other subsonic client just for this app.

### 5/5 — Best music client for Navidrome

*2026-07-12*

Decided to get rid of that expensive Orange music subscription. And this definitely makes one feel like at home
