### 4/5 — Magical hyper arpeggios

*2026-02-20, version 1.3.0*

Speed and harmonic control align in this world. There are so many ideas,

### 4/5 — Excellent but doesn’t play well with others

*2022-01-11, version 1.3.0*

Would really like to use as an instrument in iMPC Pro 2. Or even work with Audiobus 3. But, it doesn’t.

Other than that, it’s really really fun to play with!

### 3/5 — Crippled

*2021-11-29, version 1.3.0*

This app is perhaps fun to use and as such, a toy, it’s pretty well designed. Unfortunately, it is seriously crippled if you want to use it for more serious applications. The reason is the lack of ability to create your own scales. Any decent arpeggio generator allows at the minimum a creation of your own scale. This app is missing all 7th chord scales which are a must in any music, same goes for augmented and diminished scales. Yes, you can create some of those by using a chromatic scale and then finding a combination of notes distance but then you are limited only to that very specific note distance (I was able to create a diminished scale this way but that is only because of its symmetrical nature, very hard if not impossible to create 7th scale). In addition, surprisingly the app does NOT offer ability to create arpeggios on the fly based on the notes you press on a MIDI keyboard or the built in keyboard (which is there only to provide visual representation of the arpeggio) - this is something that almost every arpeggio generator has, both software and hardware. All you can control with the incoming MIDI is either changes of patterns or programs, NOT individual notes! I noticed that this developer does not like 7th chords / scales as they are also missing in the Fugue Machine preset scales, but since in Fugue Machine you can input your own notes using chromatic scale, this is not a big problem. Phrygian scale is included but nothing 7th scale (Phrygian scale can be achieved simply by starting on the 3rd degree of a major scale, no separate scale needed). All in all, this app has a great potential but is leaning on the side of being a gimmick, a toy and not a more serious music creation app. Another note, the video included in the Preview above on the App Store is misleading and suggests that the matrix can take multi touch (there are two points in performance matrix and two flashing cross hairs). This is not how the app works, in fact it states in the manual that “when the performance matrix receives multiple touches, only the last touch is active”.

### 4/5 — Needs new update

*2021-07-20, version 1.3.0*

I use this all the time. Sounds great with Bose Speakers. But it’s time for an update. Last 1 was 4 years ago. Maybe more colors.
Please add all you avid users of this app. Let’s keep this going.

### 3/5 — This app has glitches

*2020-08-06, version 1.3.0*

One glitch is that when you use Siri assistant while it’s playing it goes really fast way faster than normal.

### 3/5 — Fun, but missing a very basic control option.

*2020-07-26, version 1.3.0*

Had a lot of fun playing with this and showing it to my son, but then hit a brick wall that ruined it for us. I was trying to show him how the Stranger Things theme was made and in setting up the basic arpeggio of C2,E2,G2,B2,C3 I found that it was basically impossible in Arpeggionome Pro. I can set the key to Ionic, the number of notes to 5 and the note pattern to up and down, and the note steps to 2. But that does a pattern of C2,E2,G2,B2,D3, not C3. Just one note off. It’s using steps instead of actually trying to play the chord. And as far as I can tell, there’s no way to specify exactly which notes are played in your arpeggio pattern. You can only control it with the steps and scales. So there’s no way to actually get that exact chord to play. Ironic that Arpeggionome Pro can’t play probably the most well-known arpeggio of the last 10 years.

### 2/5 — Il n’y a plus de mises à jour depuis très longtemps!

*2019-04-06, version 1.3.0*

Il n’y a plus de mises à jour depuis très longtemps!
L’AUv3 Midi ne serait pas de trop à notre époque!

### 4/5 — 買い

*2019-03-12, version 1.3.0*

### 4/5 — IAA non reconnu dans Cubasis

*2018-09-01, version 1.3.0*

Sinon très bon arpegiateur et très complet, pas si facile d’accès pour arriver à obtenir des subtiles variations

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2017-11-08, version 1.3.0*

Hours of fun. I use the output in live for even more hours of fun.

### 5/5 — Grrrrreat

*2017-08-18, version 1.3.0*

Powerful tool

### 5/5 — Excellent arpeggiator

*2017-07-26, version 1.3.0*

One of may favorite apps⚡️. I use it a lot in most of my loops. Very easy to set up all parameters and play. Simple UI, you can modify key, scales, octaves, gates, tempo and arp style, which has enormous combinations. Also has an internal engine synth, but, better if you use your synth apps to take advantage of its MIDI capabilities. Just need to fix the internal clock, some times lose tempo.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2017-05-05, version 1.3.0*

It's very good. I have to comment on the guy who likes the app but only gave 1 star because of the price. Think for a minute my friend. You are saying that the app is no good only because it's $15. Would you give it 5 stars if it was $5? Why do you think we rate apps? It's to help others to know if it's good or not. If you think the app is good but too expensive, you might want to rate it without considering the price and mention in the review that you think it's too expensive and why. The problem your way is that people see the number of stars and won't even read the reviews. How can you give such a bad rating for an app like this only because it's $15. That's the price of a meal at Macdonald's or a coffee and muffin for you and a friend. $15 is nothing these days. Do you know how hard it is to create an app like this? Very very hard. Very few developers can do it. Think before you give a rating. Think about what it's for. It's not for you to express your frustration about being broke and expecting all apps to be free or $1.99. Just try to create a simple music app and you will have a new appreciation.

### 5/5 — Arpeggi-Nation

*2017-04-29, version 1.3.0*

Those with mono synths will appreciate how arpeggios substitute for chords, and this is the best thing for it.

### 5/5 — Update Adds Link and Audiobus 3 Support

*2017-04-08, version 1.3.0*

A very good arp for live play and can now be easily integrated with other MIDI apps and Link support allows it to easily sync and play in time. The app supports a wide variety of scales, controls for octaves, notes, step distances, playback styles, gate, and velocity.

Adding the app to an Audiobus 3 MIDI setup allows you to add MIDI effects to further transform your playing so you can do chords or have multi-timbral setups.

### 5/5 — Fantastic tool

*2017-04-08, version 1.3.0*

Thanks, now with Link and as an Audiobus midi effect this has become a really useful instrument :)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2017-03-23, version 1.3.0*

Most complete arpeggio machine on the planet.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2023-10-09, version 1.3.0*

If I could get a refund I would take it. Waste of sonic energy.

### 1/5 — Bad idea

*2022-10-06, version 1.3.0*

A interface não é intuitiva, tudo é muito confuso, os arpeggios são estranhos, está mais para um videogame do que para ago que possa colaborar com sua produção musical. Não dá pra fazer arpeggios como um Juno ou korg antigos. Não recomendo.

### 1/5 — Not intuitive

*2021-02-23, version 1.3.0*

To use it with garage band it's tricky and the registration on it it is elaborate to do. I do not feel I spent my money in the right way. If I could, I would ask for a refund. Do not like it

### 1/5 — Confusing nightmares

*2014-09-29, version 1.2.1*

Apps like this make me believe in cults of people who put pain before gain...and or eye strain ! I'm sure the designer loves the confusing headache that this app is...I kind of doubt anyone else will. Hmm.. Christo

### 1/5 — Need work.

*2014-04-24, version 1.2.0*

Great idea. I wish I could disable accelerometer. It creates more problems than it solves. For me anyways. If you could sequence something then tweak with the accelerometer after you sequence the notes then that would be more useful. Right now it's just really wonky. It's killing it for me. If there is a way to disable it it's not apparent to me.

### 1/5 — No

*2014-04-22, version 1.2.0*

I can't use it

### 1/5 — Not very good.

*2013-10-19, version 1.1*

I swish I'd saved my money. This app is very limited and is nothing more than a toy.

### 1/5 — Midi sync clock with I rig midi & Ableton Live 9

*2013-09-14, version 1.1*

Hi ,
Cool Idea but no chance to sync this app with Ableton live 9..
For this price ......no go

### 1/5 — Not worth $15

*2013-06-29, version 1.1*

This app is ok but it is not worth $15.00

### 1/5 — No midi in on note change

*2013-01-15, version 1.0.1*

Only midi in for pattern change and clock sync. No midi in for note on off...beware! More a pad twiddling toy than an arpeggiator and pattern sequencer....real instruments are currently excluded... is that pro?
Has potential if updates follow..... Currently No landscape mode for dock users either.....

Super kreative Möglichkeiten

### 5/5 — Wonderful!!!!

*2020-04-23, version 1.3.0*

And works well with other apps

### 5/5 — A great take on the ARP

*2020-04-18, version 1.3.0*

This is just a great overall arpeggio app. Take the time to go through the built in documentation (which was simple but clear) and you will be rewarded with a very useful tool for inspiration and playing music. Or just dive in and have fun. It isn’t hard to get good results in minutes.

I used it to run synths on my iPad as well as hooked it up to synths through my DAW on my Mac using USB Midi and it was a joy to use.

There are many different ways to make an arp tool. This is one of the more unique ones I have tried and is a welcome addition to my music gear. My only complaint is no AU support. But it is still a 5 star app regardless of that.

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2019-11-29, version 1.3.0*

E x c e l e n t e .

### 5/5 — Definitely buy it!

*2019-09-15, version 1.3.0*

Generate crazy sequences of notes that sound awesome. Tons of customization, easy to use. Midi in/out make this a masterpiece when you can arpeggiate other synths.

### 5/5 — one of the best apps i've ever used

*2018-05-13, version 1.3.0*

arp pro is one of the best apps—i don't mean best *music* app—i mean best app of any category, that i have ever used. it's so well thought out and put together. absolutely love it!

### 5/5 — Wonderful!!!

*2017-12-12, version 1.3.0*

Fantastic job on this implementation of your app, your remarkable app. I’ve been using it on Android for a while and loving it, but your iOS version is vastly superior. Really a well done, well thought out app. I have absolutely no regrets about buying it twice, it’s completely worth it.
