### 1/5 — Make an account?

*2019-05-11, version 1.0.3*

It’s an timed event app. Why is it gated. Will you ask for info on where we parked and what Everyone ate for breakfast at the door when We enter Hamvention? Instant delete.

### 1/5 — Why must I create an account?

*2019-05-07, version 1.0.3*

I’m going to use this for 3 days. I’m not going to bother creating an account.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-05-14, version 1.2.7*

Crashes immediately on my iPad mini 2. Re-installed, restarted, still doesn’t work. Works on my Android phone, but not on my idevice that has a larger screen.

### 1/5 — More trouble than it’s worth to download

*2026-02-10, version 1.2.7*

Way TOO much time to download, read the infinite legal BS and set up password access.
It’s a hamfest APP, it should be fast & easy!

### 1/5 — Useless without an account

*2026-01-31, version 1.2.7*

The app looked promising, but it seems like it’s basically just wrapping a proprietary web site. To view the schedule of an event, you are required to agree to a privacy policy, and then sign up for an account.
No thank you. I’ll use the hamfest’s website.

### 1/5 — Account required

*2025-05-16*

There’s no reason for an app like this to require an account to be created just to use it. Thank goodness for the “Hide my Email” feature of iCloud.

### 1/5 — Awkward and Buggy

*2025-05-08, version 1.2.6*

Poorly designed app that’s buggy and crashes. So typical of the ARRL.

### 1/5 — ARRL is a joke

*2025-04-04, version 1.2.6*

ARRL doesn't do a thing to protect that amateur radio hobby. Bunch of old men getting rich from stupid people that think ARRL have their back.

### 1/5 — REQUIRES an account

*2025-01-25, version 1.2.5*

The app requires you to create an account to even see the event info and maps. Sorry I’m not giving you my info to monetize. I just want to see the event information. This is a poor choice for the app platform.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-04-29, version 1.2.3*

Dayton is less than three weeks away but there is no information. The has an alert showing but no content. How can I make plans or even decide if it is worth the four hour drive?

### 1/5 — Remove this app!!

*2022-02-10, version 1.2.2*

The content is 2 years old, if you’re not going to update it (which you could very easily) then you should remove it!

### 1/5 — Update killed it

*2020-01-31, version 1.2*

I’ve been on it for two weeks and liking what I see. It updated and now I can’t log in. Tried resetting the password, no luck. One week to Hamcation and the app dies.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This app looks great!

*2019-05-04, version 1.0.3*

What a great way to navigate Hamvention! I’m looking forward to using it in Dayton this year.

### 4/5 — Great except badge scan

*2019-05-17, version 1.0.3*

Easy to use reminders before event start and location good. Scan badge does work for ticket bar code

### 4/5 — Great App But...

*2019-05-05, version 1.0.3*

It won’t sync my profile that I created on my iPad with my iPhone. If I try to create a profile on my iPhone it says I already have one and I need to sync, but it never does.

### 3/5 — Big help but maps aren’t the best

*2019-05-19, version 1.0.3*

It’s a huge help to have this app for scheduling forums and making a list of exhibitors to visit.

I didn’t use the attendee list feature or scan anyone’s badges but I imagine that was fun for some. I wish you could have given up that feature in lieu of making an account.

Maps were convenient that they zoom to the booth you pick, but it’s super annoying that there’s separate maps for every building and another map for the overview and another for the flea market yadda yadda...just too many. It should just be a single big zoomable map with GPS location, with exhibitor names in the map. Plus forum room 4 is off in the middle of nowhere and everyone confused it with building 4.

### 2/5 — Why do I need an account?

*2025-05-05, version 1.2.6*

I downloaded this app last year, and it helped me find and schedule for Dayton Hamvention events that I was interested in attending. Several weeks ago, I launched the app again to prepare for this year’s Hamvention, but the app said the schedule wasn’t set yet and I should check back. I checked back today, and now I have to set up an account to view the schedule. It doesn’t make sense to me. I’m giving the app two stars because it was useful last year. This year? It seems not so much.

### 2/5 — Hamvention attendee list broken

*2024-05-10, version 1.2.5*

Otherwise helpful, but when I try to open the Attendee List feature, the app consistently crashes on my iPhone iOS 17.

### 2/5 — No reason to log in

*2019-05-14, version 1.0.3*

Have to create another login to throw away. Not optimized for the iPhone XR. Made by a third party so you’d expect it to work.

Not sure what this gets you over the PDF of the program guide but I’m not willing to make another account to use once and never again.
