I’ve downloaded the app and subscribed through Apple, I can watch all content no problem, it just gives me an error message every time I try to create an account. Am I doing something wrong? Horror is what I love plus I also love the Herschel Gordon Lewis collection and I also love watching the Arrow shorts and I also love watching the trailers the app is working fine on my iPad I have no issues whatsoever my favorite movies that I love to watch on ARROW are slaughterhouse and Torso these movies are my favorite I also love the other ones too and I’m a huge fan of the slasher genre I would love to see more movies on the ARROW library and I would love to see the necromantic trilogy The collection that I like it is the arrow extreme of course I love extreme underground horror movies and I would love to see more collections headed to the library I would love to see arrow grind house and arrow exploitation I would love to see more features on the app such as a live feature where you can watch Arrow TV for free so keep updating and keep the app going keep the streaming service alive in arrow is my new home for horror so keep it up. 🥰🥳 ### 5/5 — Physical media *2024-04-18, version 8.500.1* The best apps good too ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Shame about the app. *2026-04-06, version 9.304.1* The Arrow website is amazing. They put real care into their releases and communication with customers. I’ve bought a number of blu rays and they are always great. The app, however, keeps loading on a cache saved screen that won’t respond to any touch. I have to delete my entire safari history and data in order to get the app to load the home screen, which it does once and then reverts back to the unusable cache screen. I’m not doing that everytime I want to look at new releases, unless it’s sorted soon I’m ditching my subscription as it’s a waste of time and money! ### 1/5 — App is awful, customer service even worse. *2024-01-16, version 8.200.1* The app is buggy and doesn’t work correctly. It’s been this way for months and months. It’s only for films that require subs, so it seems like maybe it would be a simple fix (I do not have this issue with the Criterion app, and they have almost identical interfaces, so what gives???). ### 2/5 — Early days, but it’s currently a no for me *2021-03-02, version 6.120.1* Hard to review a service like this so early on but I I unsubbed after an hour. Primary reason I signed up immediately was because Arrow’s blu rays are often incredible documents of both a film and its creation. No commentaries and the extras are weirdly segregated into one big content bucket rather than alongside the film they are about. They’re also pretty sparse. Aside from that: very limited language options, no indication of quality of stream. Right now every arrow film is on sale for £2.99 on iTunes. This is not an algorithm soup. This is a lovingly assembled shrine to genre. Horror. Giallo. Exploitation. Weird arthouse nightmares. Deep cut crime films. Stuff you have been hunting for for years and things you did not even know you needed until Arrow put it in front of you and said trust us. The range is genuinely impressive. You get feature films that feel canon level essential alongside shorts that are smart strange and often braver than full length releases. It is a rare platform where shorts are treated as art instead of filler and that alone earns major points. Then there are the special features. This is where Arrow really flexes. Commentaries. Essays. Archival interviews. Context. History. Nerdy deep dives. The same level of obsessive care you expect from an Arrow physical release is right there in the app. It feels premium because it is premium. The presentation is also rock solid. High quality transfers. Thoughtful curation. Zero sense of content being dumped just to pad numbers. Everything feels intentional and that is increasingly rare in streaming. And here is the real mic drop. A full year costs about the same as one really nice special edition 4K disc. One. Instead you get an entire year of exploration discovery and rewatching favorites with supplements intact. If you already trust Arrow with your shelf space then trusting them with your streaming time is a no brainer. Bottom line. If you love cult cinema. If you care about context.
