Some of the images are fabulous and the task of assembling the picture requires a focus that frequently reveals aspects of the work that a casual glance would not: how light has been used; composition; colour. It’s an interesting and enjoyable way to appreciate famous painters and paintings. Each artist and work is given a brief textual comment. Regrettably those on the pictures are not illuminating, merely cheap, frequently puerile remarks that belittle the images. After each picture is completed, adverts are shown. ### 3/5 — The game is spoiled *2026-03-11* Please restore the gameplay to it’s former self. The recent automatic linking of puzzle pieces is tiresome, but now it is often not even possible to complete a game to ‘Perfection’ within the number of turns allowed. To have to watch an ad, and some of them are 2 minutes, to place the final piece of the puzzle is simply unfair. I have learn so much about development and application of perspective and find out so many of absolutely marvellous painters no know to me till I played this game of picture puzzles I also was and I am still in disbelieve ,that Japanese have no painters who could be comparable with painters from Europe at any century. I did not even know how many greate female painters were totally forgotten through the time . To play this game I never felt that I am wasting my time at all . To stop playing I felt sorry that I am ripping myself of from learning important knowledge ,which is necessary to have in this times. Mike ### 4/5 — Gentle and enjoyable, but… *2025-05-07, version 2.29.0* The game is simple to play, and quite enjoyable, yet it’s somehow lacking that ‘something’ that brings you back to a game day after day. The puzzles are easy enough. They do progress in difficulty a little as you progress, but never very taxing. There is a nice range of paintings, although the vast school of British art is mostly overlooked. It’s not a game that needs money payments to progress, and ads are not intrusive. Yet it’s all slightly unrewarding. The comments that accompany each completed painting are rather banal and uninformative. Whilst it must be difficult to think up friendly comments for thousands of paintings, the historical facts about the artist, painting, and style need to be expanded and presented in a more informative manner. Where can the original artwork be viewed? All the elements are almost there, but lack the thread that pulls it all together. Nevertheless it’s definitely a 4 star game. Can be a 5 star… if it finds the missing element that will regularly draw you back to play. ### 3/5 — Oh dear - ads have begun to appear! *2025-03-16, version 2.26.0* This app has become my go-to for a bit of happy relaxation. L’extrait du texte suivant: se soit « plein » devrait s’écrire : plaint, car c’est le verbe plaindre. Le mot : plein est le contraire de vide et ce n’est pas ce que le contenu de la lettre veut dire. Noter que la lettre se déroule lorsque le puzzle est complété. J’aime beaucoup ce jeu pour la culture. Merci de votre attention. The odd comments with the artist notes make me smile. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Do NOT trust this app. *2025-10-21, version 2.34.0* I paid for No Adverts when there was no time limit. They have changed their rules, and switched back on the adverts that I had paid to not see. Without my consent they have switched to insisting on annual payments. And they have not given me the option to have my payment refunded. ### 1/5 — Loved - Now Loathe *2025-09-04, version 2.31.0* I loved this game. Easy but challenging enough. Easy to just zone out and do. Then the latest update happened which was labelled ‘improvements and bug fixes’. This was code for NOW THIS GAME HAS ADS after EVERY single puzzle. To add insults to i jury, early on I had paid to avoid having ads. It has move limits which are frustrating, especially with “ turn piece” puzzles which are often nonturnable, then you are stuck and can not go forward. It needs a skip button. I foolishly bought no ad option and can not play.
